Israel is set to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah in Lebanon, with the cabinet planning to meet on Tuesday to formally approve the agreement despite the protests of northern leaders and several coalition members, according to several reports by Israeli media.
An Israeli official told The Times of Israel (TOI) that Netanyahu gave the green light after reviewing the final draft of the agreement, which will include a side letter with the United States to guarantee Israeli freedom of action to enforce violations militarily.
“It’s a Mabam [war between the wars] in Lebanon,” the official said. “We don’t know how long [the ceasefire] will last. It could be a month, it could be a year.”
Israel and Lebanon will reportedly coordinate their moves through the office of US CENTCOM's General Michael Kurilla, who visited Israel numerous times during the war, including this week.

Success! Go Bibi! Hamas is eliminated and all the Israeli settlers are heading home! No?
Well lets see how it goes first before settlers return home. The northern mayors aern’t very happy with this of course...they’ prefer Hezbollah be entirely eliminated as their communities are so exposed. However the actual war is with Hamas.
If Biden wasn't delaying arms shipments, . . .
(Hamas is eliminated and all the Israeli settlers are heading home! No?)
It’s Hezbollah up north
Hamas is mostly in Gaza to the southwest
It’s Iran’s Hezbollah up north in Lebanon
Notice that Hezbollah isn’t even a party to this agreement. Who from Hezbollah will sign it? Who from Hezbollah will appear at the media event with American, French, Israeli and Lebanese representatives?
Netanyahu on ceasefire with Hezbollah: ‘We’re maintaining full freedom of military action’
Interior Minister Moshe Arbel spoke on Tuesday evening with the heads of the local authorities in northern Israel.
He said, “I call on the Prime Minister to hold the next Cabinet meeting in Metula or Kiryat Shmona and in the process to demonstrate the government’s absolute commitment to the security of the citizens of the north.”
That’s a key point. I haven’t even seen a statement from Hezbollah.
I'm guessing that Israel will react to cease fire attacks on an individual basis while they focus on Hamas and Iran and will resume Lebanon around January 20th.
Hezbollah IS Iran.....they will always ‘reorganize’.
