The official, who was speaking on condition of anonymity, said such mines would be delivered soon and Washington expected that they would be used on Ukraine's territory.

Ukraine was also committed to not using the mines in densely-populated areas, the official said.

Neither the Us, Russia or China, along with India Pakistan and others have signed on to the treaty banning their use. All countries should stop using land mines.

Oh yes. One recalls that the late Princess Diana had a quite popular campaign to ban land mines because little kids were picking them up...

Way to go, Blinken and Austin. What a couple of guys! /s

There was a “convention” against the anti personnel land mines in 1997 but the US did not sign on.

The POTATUS likely couldn’t find Ukraine on a map anymore.

He’s not doing this.

The people responsible are the people who installed the POTATUS.

We need to know who in Hades is running this country.

The banned mines are buried.

The Claymore mines are placed visibly above aground.

Under the control of a person via wire, a Claymore mine will send out by explosive force a ~60-degree arc of about 700 1/8” steel balls at bullet speed.
