There is a reason the DOJ dropped the Gaetz probe. Witnesses lacked credibility.

Same lame tactics from the same sources.

Totally to be expected.

The more scared they are of being exposed, the more desperate their means of avoiding same.

If the FBI did an investigation on Gaetz and "declined to prosecute," that probably means that they compiled a "dirty dossier" on him to be used at a later date to try to control him (with "dirty" meaning full of half-truths and innuendo strung together to manufacture a desired whisper campaign behind the scenes in DC).

I'm not saying that Gaetz is guilty of anything, but I am saying that someone like Merrick Garland can certainly craft a narrative that would put Gaetz on the defensive with a compliant LAAP-dog media. That's exactly how they got Jeff Sessions to recuse himself against President Trump over a few social encounters with the Russian Ambassador at DC evening functions.

On the other hand, I'm sure that Gaetz is prepared for this and will fight back against the narrative with all the strength he can muster. I wish I could say the same thing about our Republican members of Congress who may be welcoming this ammo from Garland.

If there was anything there, Merrick Garland would have nailed him.

"The two witnesses have massive credibility problems. The claims arose from Joel Greenberg, “one of the most corrupt Florida politicians of all time,” according to Florida reporter Marc Caputo, who is now with the anti-Trump media outlet The Bulwark.

Among many things the former Seminole County tax collector admitted to as part of a wide-ranging case for which he is currently serving 11 years in prison was falsely accusing local political opponent Brian Beute of having sex with a minor, similar to the outlandish claim he made against Gaetz. Greenberg also reportedly later attempted to frame his own attorney with pornographic images of children"

It isn't just that Joel Greenberg "lacks credibility", it is -- as the article summates -- that schnorrer is "downright evil".

Greenberg is serving at Miami "Club Fed" FCI where he is due to be released in July 2030.

Mollie Hemingway coined an excellent term for this when she was putting the beat-down on Tiny Trey Gowdy the other day:

"information operation"

I just watched Jake Tappers take on CNN. They interviewed Mark Mullin, Ok. senator who believed the stuff. Problem his interview happened 13 months ago.

The DOJ isn’t going to change their stripes - they’re still the goons who will try to get away with whatever they can - We shouldn’t trust them any further than we could throw them.

"information operation"

That definitely sounds more ominous and intentional than the old phrase "whisper campaign" despite that being intentional and malicious, too.

The old DC phrase connotes people saying "Did you hear about..." or "I heard so and so was caught..."

Even the rumor mill has become weaponized by Democrats.

No. Greenberg's calumny brought the scheme against Gaetz completely out in the sunlight. The reason you and so many people don't know the facts is because the #MSM put all the advancements in this story in 2021 on Page 14, under 13 pages of COVID fearp0rn.

Read this...

Another Media Hit Piece Goes Up in Flames: Florida Man Pleads Guilty in Attempt to Extort $25 Million from Father of Matt Gaetz, and understand that Stephen M. Alford is doing 5 years Federal at Forrest City Low FCI.

Then read this...

"Gaetz’s father, Don Gaetz, appeared to back his son’s claims, telling Politico in an interview that he had been working with the FBI on several occasions as part of an investigation.

The Washington Post reported last week that two men had approached Don Gaetz claiming that if the elder Gaetz donated money to help find Robert Levinson, a former FBI agent who was kidnapped in Iran, it would help his son’s “situation.”

The Washington Examiner later released messages purportedly between Don Gaetz and Kent, in which Kent states that he could make the Florida representative’s “future legal and political problems go away.”

Kent acknowledged that he had sent the text, but denied that his communication with Don Gaetz was part of an extortion scheme."

Finally, read this...

Greenberg pled guilty to innumerable and unmentionable crimes. Greenberg has also agreed to complete $1.9M restitution

Greenberg named 2 accomplices: one was an SBA employee and fellow Democrat, and the other was not Gaetz.

Greenburg never named Gaetz. If you don't think Greenberg would have cut a deal with the DOJ by naming Gaetz in an hot minute, you lack the requisite intelligence to suck a fart out of a subway seat. [Not you, PJII]

"That December, [Greenberg] grew bolder, asking the CFO in an email “[H]ow much do we have that can be used for a 60-90 day investment fund [for the Tax Collector’s Office]? What’s the most you can do?” The CFO told him $100,000 was the maximum; Greenberg deposited the check at Fifth Third

“We are going to need additional funds before the end of the month to get all expenses paid,” the CFO said in an email to Greenberg during this period.

Greenberg also admitted to claiming $432,700 in federal loans intended to help small businesses weather the pandemic..The scheme was not Greenberg’s idea, the plea notes, but “he agreed to participate in it with knowledge of its illegality.”

On June 19, four days before Greenberg was arrested, a friend texted him, saying he had an “easy” and “quick” way for him to receive a loan of up to $160,000 and referred Greenberg to the SBA employee. Neither the friend nor the employee are named in the plea. On June 24, the day after Greenberg’s arrest, the SBA officer emailed a loan agreement to him for $133,000 and he executed it. The plea deal notes the SBA employee was a “willing and knowledgeable” participant in the fraud."

There was not a single charge on Greenberg where Gaetz was even rumored to be a material witness.

Rumor-mongering travels in select company, to be sure. Even CNN ran an article that deeply lamented Gaetz was not named in Greenberg's plea deal:

"The congressman isn't mentioned in the 86 pages of plea deal documents released on Friday...Congressman Gaetz doesn't seem to be named nor referenced in Mr. Greenberg's plea," Hill said. "Congressman Gaetz has never had sex with a minor and has never paid for sex. Mr. Greenberg has now pleaded guilty to falsely accusing someone else of sex with a minor. That person was innocent. So is Congressman Gaetz."

"That definitely sounds more ominous and intentional than the old phrase "whisper campaign" despite that being intentional and malicious, too."

Do you all finally understand now? Greenberg, who is doing Federal time, his modus operandi was to accuse everyone who stood in his way of statutory.

The first action by Attorney General Gaetz should be to move this schnorrer Greenberg to Thomson FCI's “Special Management Unit” for his own safety.

I like Mollie, and appreciate her clearing this up I guess, but…

We have all known since the beginning that these allegations against Gaetz and Trump and other MAGA leaders and whistleblowers are fake - why do we waste time with endless denials and defenses?

Why waste time talking about the allegations and how false they are? That only leaves us forever stuck on the defensive.

We need to go on the offense - these allegations against Matt Gaetz are not about Matt Gaetz at all. The ones making these allegations are the criminals - they weaponized law enforcement to go after innocent MAGA leaders and that is TREASON - let’s talk about that.

Let’s haul THEM before the ethics committee. Let’s indict THEM..

I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but I’m so sick of defending against their charges when THEY are the ones committing treason. We need to go on the attack right now and I’m very hopeful that is exactly what Trump is doing.

These people are so screwed up, they will have to fly with Garland being involved in a cover-up to protect Gaetz from damage.

I’ll be glad to see Matt Gaetz replace Merrick Garland!

Garland has proven himself to be corrupt and oppressive, over and over!

https://www.foxnews.com/media/merrick-garland-leading-most-corrupt-justice-department-american-history-newt-gingrich

But Harvard (my graduate alma mater) honored him as a commencement speaker a few years ago!

https://www.justice.gov/opa/speech/attorney-general-merrick-b-garland-delivers-commencement-address-harvard-classes-2020-and

Shame!

Now the Dims are speaking ill of Gaetz—over and over! And they plan to sabotage his confirmation hearing in the Senate. I hope that that doesn’t work!
