The American Conservative, a right-wing blog and Project 2025 partner, published an article advocating to repeal the 22nd Amendment so that Donald Trump would be able to serve a third term.
The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, limits a president to serving two terms. It was adopted after former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to a third and fourth term amid public concerns about a “long-term president.”
No.
Just...
No.
media matters stirring the pot
Who says this stuff?
This is the kinda crap what we heard rumors of when Obama was in his 2nd term.
It only serves the MSM’s goal of making MAGA republicans look like radicals.
Trump picked Vance for a reason
Careful what you wish for.
Media Matters stirring the pot because they don’t matter anymore.
No. Just...No.
He’s too old. I don’t think he will finish out the term. Not because he is too old but he’s a lame duck. It kinda rips all the fun out of it.
Amendments take a long time to happen. Anyway…you would never get it through Congress and most of the states would say no as well.
It’s there for a reason. And a good reason.
Oh, this is just a FANTASTIC idea to bring up after the election. Why not validate every crappy thing they were saying about Trump with absolutely zero chance of it passing anyway!
Now, just a minute here! President Trump did NOT SERVE 2 terms - he was ELECTED twice, but only SERVED ONCE. So, in reality, THIS time IS is 2nd term! Yes?
Series trolling.....
Project 2025 appears to have been designed to create trouble for Trump.
It only served to create anti-Trump talking points for Democrats.
This appears to be more of the same (“Trump wants to be Dictator for Life! Project 2025 said so!”)
As it is, I would not be surprised if Trump handed over the office to Vance before the end of his term.
So, in reality, THIS time IS his 2nd term! Yes?
Really? Hasn’t he sacrificed enough?
Ask yourself if you would have liked an Obama third term...besides the bidumb puppet one we are in.
You got to love the idea of trolling liberals and making their heads explode. However, to get a Constitutional Amendment passed requires something not really possible in the House and Senate and the ratification by the number of states, also is not likely to happen. Let’s leave changes to the Constitution out of the equation for the foreseeable future.
