In a recent broadcast, Vladimir Solovyov, a Russian state TV host and known ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, called for the destruction of America's critical infrastructure if the United States tries to give Moscow "any kind of an ultimatum" in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
President-elect Donald Trump has previously said that if he were at the negotiating table with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the war between the two Eastern European nations would end "within 24 hours."
Now that Trump won this year's presidential election against Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, the world will be looking to see how he handles the war.
Solovyov warned on a program he hosts on Russia-1, a Russian state-owned television channel, "If [the U.S.] tries to give us any kind of an ultimatum, the Stalin Strait will appear [in the middle of America]," according to an English-translated clip of the show posted on the Russian Media Monitor's YouTube channel on Saturday.
The Russian Media Monitor is a watchdog group created by journalist Julia Davis dedicated to combating Russian propaganda.
"I will say it once again, we should destroy every dam, every hydro system," Solovyov said on his show.

Putin is denying any such conversation took place.

You’re disputing the actual video of Solovyov making his threats that is imbedded in the story?
The best target in the US, if an enemy wants to win, is and always has been the refinery complex about 100 miles circling Houston.
When gasoline and diesel disappears, food can’t move to store shelves. Surrender generally doesn’t take very long after food disappears in a country at war.
As for this story . . . why spend time on what a TV host has said?
Because that host has Putin's ear and is his media mouthpiece.
Don’t like it? Oh, well.
If Trump had made a call to Putin, Biden’s CIA would have already leaked it.
Which it has not done.
My instinct is to not believe him. If he were telling the truth Trump would have backed him up and Trump didn’t. What I think happened is there was a call between Putin and Trump that was meant to remain confidential and it got leaked. We may have witnessed the first leak from the new Trump administration

Who is the media mouthpiece for other country leaders? Why presume Russia has an individual guy from outside who is press secretary?
Media mouthpieces are called Press Secretary. We can probably find names for those for the countries of the world.
I just looked up the press secretary of Japan’s administration. The chief cabinet officer in Japan apparently has that role. His name is Yoshihide Suga.
UK’s press secretary is Allegra Stratton.
Russia’s press secretary is Maria Zakharova.
You can look this stuff up. No point in imagining it.

It’s all over the worldwide media and Trump has made no statement about it. I will believe it’s fake news when Trump says it’s fake news.
