In 2020, married voters narrowly chose President Donald Trump by a 7-point, 53% to 46% margin. This year that margin grew to 13 points at 56% to 43%.

Trump also handily won married men 60-38 and he even eked out a victory among unmarried men 49-47. Where Trump got crushed was among unmarried women, who chose Harris (who didn’t get married until age 50, by the way) by a 60-38 margin.

Interesting post on American Thinker blog. Instead of thinking of voters as divided between men vs women, the numbers show it's more like single women vs everybody else.

The 2024 election was proof that voting for the correct party is not rocket science.

It appears those unmarried women identified with Harris - herself childless and married to her career.

And the reason that they are not married. What man wants to be married to a leftist kook?

We’ve heard of similar break downs in previous elections. Married women have tended to the vote Republican in the past as well as this time. Single women tend to vote strongly Democrat.

Could it be that married women with children look at the world differently. They are not so focused on abortion for example.
