Republican state Rep. Gabe Evans has unseated Democratic U.S. Rep. Yadira Caraveo in Colorado’s highly competitive 8th Congressional District, a win that represents the biggest victory for the GOP in Colorado since 2014.
Evans was leading Caraveo with 49% of the vote to her 48% at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday when Caraveo conceded. They were separated by about 2,500 votes.
“It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve the people of Colorado’s 8th District,” Caraveo, a pediatrician and former state lawmaker, said in a written statement. “While this isn’t the outcome we had hoped for, the work is not over. I look forward to returning to Washington to finish out this term.”

This gives us the 217 of the 218 needed with us currently leading in several more. But the dems are going to steal their share in California.
Is this 219 now?
Alaska is looking really good too. So, that might be our 218 lock in no matter if the Dems cheat other places.
Go back and relive the nightmare of California 2018. The pubbies had no idea what had hit them as the U.S. House was ballot harvested in the week after Election Day. I’m pretty sure every single race in question after ED was stolen.
So are we at 218 yet or not?
While some have indicated the Alaska seat will go GOP, they have RCV, and the GOP candidate doesn’t have 50% of the vote (yet).
Isn't Alaska still ranked choice where the winner needs 50% or they go into the magic potion formula to get the dimrat in. Begich is at 49.6% according to Decision Desk
It looks like it would be 217 according to RCP and DDHQ.
Thanks, george. Good news, for sure.
AMEN!
What’s the count now and does that give us the House?
That gives us 217.
“...the work is not over”
Has ANY politician EVER said “our work is over”?
Yep. Of the remaining 9 seats not called, 7 are in CA, 1 in AZ, and 1 in AK. If it weren't for RCV in Alaska, they could call that race for the GOP candidate. Instead, it appears headed to RCV, and all bets are off. The GOP was leading by 0.5% in the Arizona race, but that has been cut to 0.3% today. No idea where that one is headed. And while 3 of the 7 races in California are led by GOP candidates, 2018 says "hello".
They the dems have been caught cheating in Arizona already.
217: one short.
According to AP still only 214!!! That is, after they update this race.
