Isn’t that special!! FYI, when it comes to federal Prosecutions, they NEVER make an Arrest until the Case is a Slam DUnk and ready for Trial on the same day of the announcement and arrest. In other words, day guilty!!
Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, is a racist, segregationist!

This dysfunctional racial marriage ain’t working. Let’s have a friendly divorce so each side can go their way.

So he should have gotten along fine with George Wallace.
I wonder if in his African heritage he had relatives who sold other Africans to the Dutch traders?
My hometown
My daddy dealt personally with this back in 1990 or so
When blacks took over he said our contracts will end unless I pay them cash money
No deer hunting or deep sea fishing or other junkets or campaign contributions will suffice now

Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba
On the 7th of November 2024 Lumumba and two officials were indicted for bribery by the U.S Department of Justice. Lumumba is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for favors benefiting alleged real estate developers, according to the Justice Department. The department stated that such corruption undermines public trust, and it is committed to prosecuting these abuses.
Chokwe may not be as vocal about that stuff as his old man was, but he's cut from the same bolt of cloth. I doubt if George Wallace would've taken things that far.
George Wallace repented in his later years and tried to make peace with Black Folks and His Maker.
You are correct. I worked with a federal AUSA in the Eastern District of California. I would bring him felony cases to present to the court for prosecution.
If I presented a case that wasn't a 100% slam dunk warped up with a bow on it he would look at me and say, "What else you got."
AUSAs don't loose cases, ever. Even failing to get a true bill from a grand jury was considered a carrier killer.
Even with the high standards, I had no problem stacking his desk with cases. I think in one year we did 85. (BTW these were all criminal illegal aliens who reentered the country after deportation) There were thousands from me to choose from and those were just the small percentage of criminal aliens I encounter.

Good job they’re doing this NOW, because if President Trump was in office, there would be some talk of:
racism
sexism
misogyny
cruelty
election interference
fraud
unclean shorts, etc.,etc.............
