Why do I have this opinion? Because in 1979 opiates literally saved my life after a bad accident, I knew, The Doctors Knew, the Pharmacy Knew the Hospital knew, WE ALL KNEW IN ADVANCE I would become addicted and had a nice long talk about it and they had a Plan. But back then Doctors were actually allowed to practice Medicine the way they see fit without undue influence from Insurance Companies, I was taking 50 Percodan a day after 3 months, so I spent the first week or so going through withdrawls in a Hospital Bed under Doctors care. as soon as the drugs were out of my system I had my surgery and woke up DRUG FREE and Pain Free.
Today they get you hooked on the stuff from an accident or...another legitimate reason for strong pain meds and then just cut you off knowing you are now an addict and will soon look for it on the street. All because the Insurance Companies will not pay for your recovery afterwards, even though it is a result of whatever medical ailment you had originally.
Doesn’t California give those out for free, to homeless druggies?
Did they also go after the doctors who wrote the unnecessary prescriptions? Or just the big chain pharmacies with deep pockets?
I doubt that Kroegers was just handing out the opioids like candy without a valid (if unnecessary) prescription from a doctor.
Sure it will.
