"Mr Musk has previously attacked Mr Biden’s tariffs on electric cars imported from China, saying: “In general I’m in favour of no tariffs.” "

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thus... Musk is in DIRECT opposition to Trump's anti-China policies now??

What the h.ll is going on? Twilight zone maybe? Trump has again surrounded himself with people who want to demolish his policies. Not good.

Biden wants his 10%. He probably thinks he’s president for life.

Most people are against tariffs because the free traitors carp on about how they will cause inflation. Trump has the right idea on tariffs and we can finally put a stake in the globalist lies. Trump wants to replace income tax with tariffs.

We need tarifs on China. It’s vital.
Trump put those tarifs on China during the Trump administration. I say bravo!
Luckily Biden didn’t reverse that Trump policy - he let those anti-China tarifs in place.

And now Musk seems to have been compromised by the CCP and wants to help China...
This is a serious situation.
I hope Trump will eject Musk from his future administration, or at least tell him to not utter a word about policies.

I dont know if it’s faisable to 100% but I clearly love the idea. It’s worth trying this out as far as possible at least.

First, Musk is going to say what he thinks. He never pretended to agree with Trump on everything.

Second, I am a bit surprised that he came out against tariffs against Red China, as BYD seems designed to be a Tesla-killer. Musk himself has said they can make decent cars that undercut his price.

Third, Musk doesn’t have final say on anything in a Trump admin. Put him in charge of coming up with ideas for making government “more efficient”, and tariff policy won’t be in the scope of his work.

Musk is not necessarily a friend, but he most certainly is an ally. We should figure out how to work with allies, and get the best from them. Musk has a lot to offer.

It's election year agitprop. Imagine, a billionaire -- and the Harris-Walz-(Obama) campaign has been harping on how Trump only wants tax cuts for billionaires, wants to screw working people etc -- who thinks there's not enough competition with his own company. If he thought his company wasn't up to it, he wouldn't be talking about it.

The real story under this spin is the Biden-Harris Chinese battery plant corruption, not to mention all the other Biden and Walz corrupt links to the CCP. On FR this just fits in with a lot of other anti-Elon smears.

Some Teslas use BYD batteries. Ditto for many other EV manufacturers to include Mercedes and Toyota.
Also, safest battery out there.

Tesla probably won’t be competing against the Chinese cars; they’re competing more against BMW, Lexus and Mercedes.

Exactly. It’s worth a shot. Even if it gets us a flat tax and guts the Fed.

Prior to the ratification of the 16th amendment, the grand majority of American “income” was from tariffs.

Musk is in DIRECT opposition to Trump's anti-China policies now??
So according to your thinking Musk is pro-China?

China has tariffs, Trumps plan is tit for tat.

What the h.ll is going on? Twilight zone maybe? Trump has again surrounded himself with people who want to demolish his policies. Not good.
They, like you and most everyone else in the echo chamber, don't understand the intent of his policies.

BTW, Trump did more for America and Americans, including American businesses in one four year term than any President in your lifetime.

The result of "surrounded himself with people who want to demolish his policies" is now historic. All positive.

Folks need to do their homework on tariffs vs. federal income tax.

Musk likes winning in the billionaire club, and he’s a maverick even there. He’s very much like Trump. All the villain stories? Every successful man is a villain to many, the more successful, the more villainy is assumed.

Elon’s wealth is largely due to his holdings in China. It’s like he made a deal with the Mafia. If he says something or does something the CCP doesn’t like, they’ll cancel him instantly and he’ll be out of business. It must already be really hard for Tesla to work in China as the CCP is pushing their own companies in an effort to make them grow. Probably the only way Tesla is surviving in China is due to Elon’s adroit use of bribes. (Rock)Elon(Hard Place.)
