The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office is looking into several hundred irregular voter registration applications.
District Attorney Gavin Holihan said that his office was alerted to the applications Thursday evening and met with the county election office Friday morning. He said there will be a criminal investigation.
“An overwhelming number of these applications are done poorly,” Holihan said. “The names are wrong, the names are duplicated, the names and addresses don’t match, there’s insufficient information on the applications.
“Can we find out who did that? That’s a good question. We would also need to know where physically it was done, because these things are then bundled together and brought to the voter registration office in boxes by the hundreds or thousands.”
Holihan said that there’s an important distinction between improperly filling out a voter registration form and improperly voting. The latter is illegal.
“That’s an important distinction,” he said. “These are not votes. They’re not ballots. It does make a difference that these are not actual votes, so it’s not voter fraud.”

This is b.s. It is not illegal until the vote is cast. And, once the fraudulent vote is cast, it cannot be removed. After the election, we will all sing kum buy ya, and move on.
The DA must be a democrat.
Behold the word games.
Is it PA again, Yogi?
Yes, word games.
Respectful future post suggestion my friend......would it be possible to include the state?
Reason I ask is I have a Lehigh county in my state.
An "investigation" into fraudulent registration forms THREE DAYS before the election? Is there anything more useless. Those fraudsters were sent ballots and they will be voted. I am SO sick of all these stories about fraud being detected so close to the election.
Our election system is so broken that it has to rank below Congress, the media and used car salesmen for integrity and honesty.
From a year and a half ago, we learn the Republican DA is loved by Democrats...
Democrats rally around Republican Gavin Holihan ahead of Lehigh County DA race

May 15, 2023Gavin Holihan's uncontested bid for Lehigh County district attorney has found bipartisan support. He's been endorsed by outgoing DA Jim Martin, a Republican, and Democratic state lawmakers Michael Schlossberg and Josh Siegel, among others.
Lehigh County's quiet district attorney race grew rosier Monday as prominent local Democrats endorsed Republican Gavin Holihan for the top law enforcement job.
Holihan is running unopposed to succeed incumbent Jim Martin, the longtime Republican incumbent. With no apparent competition, Holihan hasn't had to do much to woo voters. His campaign finance report shows he's spent $2,232, almost all of which was for a consultant's services. LehighValleyNews.com was unable to find a site or even a social media account associated with his campaign.
fraud registration results in fraud ballot results in fraud vote
these people hate chain of possesion controls for a reason.

Lehigh County has Allentown, PA its county seat.
A denial of service attack with a computer is a crime. This fraud should be viewed actually more seriously as it is a purposeful attempt to overwhelm the system and disenfranchise legitimate votes.
I am not a lawyer, but is it correct that conspiring to commit a crime is not a crime, the legal system must wait until the irreversible crime is committed until it can spring into ever vigilent action?
If true, this is crazy!
Why would the DA investigate this since no votes have been cast, and therefore no crimes have been committed, according to the DA? Does this DA spend county time investigating non-crimes?
This DA needs to get his b.s. straight!
Oh for God’s sake.
Some idiot submitted a bunch of silly voter registration forms. They were flagged. They did not result in anyone registered. They did not result in anyone getting a ballot. They did not result in anyone voting from that registration.
The event will have no effect on the election.
And no, don’t now transition to “Oh! But this means there are thousands of others that no one caught!!!!”
No it does not mean that. It means some badly filled out forms were submitted and flagged. It doesn’t mean anything other than that.
You can think there are thousands of bogus registrations if you like. But this particular event has zero involvement in that.
Are these the forms that were traced back to AZ?
There was something on the news yesterday about this.
Wow, good find!
I cannot believe the crude b.s. coming from DA Holihan that fraudulent voter registration is no crime until the vote is cast. Why then, is the DA investigating a non crime!
It means some badly filled out forms were submitted and flagged. It doesn’t mean anything other than that. The voice of reason. Thank you, Owen.

No, not some idiot. Some organization in AZ is trying to disenfranchise voters and the DA does not see criminal intent until the vote is cast. How many of these are going through without being stopped? If we do not even know who did this, what does that say about our registration system that can dump 1000 registrations and we don’t even know who the responsible party is?
This is indeed very serious.
Could be a feint, to cover the real cheating.

______________
You are not reading whe whole story. Some of the registrations are fraudulent, and the DA maintains there is no crime until the vote is cast. The registrations were delivered by a person in a batch of 100 or 1000, thereby overwhelming the system.
Does this sound reasonable to you? It does not sound reasonable to me.
