CNN —
Election polls can’t foretell who will win the presidential election. They’re inherently imprecise. They carry the potential for error.
All that being the case, polls this year have found plenty that’s meaningful about how voters think about politics in 2024 – from Americans’ broad-ranging pessimism about the political landscape to the deep divide in values between supporters of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
As a rule, polling provides a snapshot of opinions, rather than a prediction about how people may act in the future – whether that’s how they’ll eventually vote or any other decisions they might make. That’s especially true of this election, with surveys showing no clear leader in the presidential race, either nationally or in the septet of swing states likely to prove decisive to the outcome. And although most surveys suggest a tight race, a more decisive victory for either candidate remains well within the realm of possibility.

Stop the steal and vote.
“Election polls can’t foretell who will win the presidential election.”
Then why has CNN reported on them so heavily for months. Again.
When CNN starts this kind of hedging and bobbing and weaving it is because they know a major victory by President Trump is on the way.
Or, at a minimum, very likely.
I agree, the last 4 years have told US the polls mean nothing.
November 5, 6 7 8 9 10 11 maybe 12th will tell US and I mean maybe...
Zzzzzszzzzzszz
I voted, I’m done with polls
Reddit sub forums are full of hysterical Dems wailing and gnashing, good fun reading though
Told that CNN still sucks?
sorry to be redundant but i posted this in another thread:
I was at the Jets game last night at MetLife Stadium. In just our half of the parking lot alone there were five “Trump” flags flying high. There was a small “FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!” chant before the national anthem. I saw two guys, including one in my section with his wife, wearing Trump hats.
I saw zero harris/walz flags, signs, hats.
Also- the last time the Jets played their final home game before election day at night? 1988 and 2004.
Amen
I can tell you that win or lose, I plan to leave the US next year. The mere fact that harris has any change at all of winning tells me that we are already lost as a country.
My wife passed away mar 25 and I have few friends or relatives and I need a change. Watching the slow motion destruction of my country is simply not on my to do list anymore.. I am 63 years old and I am done, baring some other emergency.
If I’m wrong, so be it. However, there’s no sign I’ve seen of any real momentum to Harris.
Unlike Lichtman, there are no crows in my stomach.
So sorry for your loss. What countries are you looking at? My pipe dream is to go back to my “second home” , Traben-Trarbach, a small town along the Mosel River, where I lived for 4 years while stationed in the Army.
I agree, this election has landslide Trump written all over it. In 2020 biden was polling way ahead of Trump, Cackles is either behind or even, and Trump always outperforms his polls.
CNN has zero credibility with me.
The Philippines is my first choice right now. I have also been checking out Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean.
Yes....there’s absolutely no doubt that there will be lawsuits too numerous to count...filed in state and Federal courts coast to coast...in the days (weeks?) after next Tuesday.
Hillary up be 8. Remember that one? Polls schmolls.
Health care is excellent here in North Texas. No problem with scheduling appointments or procedures. My granddaughter turns 3 this weekend, she’s a major reason why I keep on keeping on. Born 13 weeks premature, she’s a fighter. All of my issues pale in comparison to what she’s endured.
Feel free to keep us posted.
Sincerely sorry about your loss.
No one can properly console another as I found out when my dearly loved wife from 1973 died unexpectedly at home in 2022.
As older men we are in a certain group seldom studied. I was the only man at my grief counseling groups. A book Widower has chapters and there are a couple of others but most assume it’s not our older male group. Younger men may look ahead to a new relationship in their 30s or 40s for example.
My prayers go for your healing.

Where’s the better political Place?
All I can think of is perhaps Die/Der Schweiz.
Of course I like mountains and skiing....
