Republicans are looking to minimize the fallout from comments made during former president Donald Trump's campaign rally on Sunday referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
The joke, made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe before Trump spoke, has prompted widespread criticism from both sides of the aisle, including from celebrities who condemned the comments and used it as an opportunity to express support for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Puerto Rico is facing a waste crisis. Unlined landfills across the island are overflowing with uncovered waste, sending foul odors into homes, contaminating drinking water, and attracting rodents and other pests.
Puerto Rico has turned into a trash dump.
Soccer fields have been turned into trash dumps.
People say the stench is awful.
From hurricanes and earthquakes. Run by democrats who can’t handle disposal.
Literally the whole world’s fate is at stake and this happens. Just horrible.
Nothing. But still, why give them the ammunition?

She just turned 35. It’s time to marry her “partner” and have children. Think she has neurotic daddy issues. Living an immoral life is a burden on the conscience. But she’s an absolute ideological zombie. They don’t have children when it’s the natural time to and then they try the expensive artificial treatments. Women are objects to be used in ideology. And so many women degrade themselves. Many Christian women have the attitude of: You’re not getting anything buddy, unless you marry me.
How do we not understand that the MSM is looking for an opportunity to drive a narrative for the week and this is one we need to nip in the bud ASAP like now this is what the Trump campaign should put out.
