If there is one data point above all that suggests Donald Trump and JD Vance are headed for a resounding victory on Nov. 5, it is this: By a nearly 40-point margin in the polling average, Americans are more inclined to believe the country is currently on the wrong track than the right track. There are other reasons to believe the 45th president is peaking at the best possible time and that dimwitted California commie Kamala Harris is cratering at the worst possible time, but the stubbornness of the right-track/wrong-track polling has surely led to many sleepless nights at Harris-Walz campaign headquarters. It defies common sense for Americans to reelect the vice president from the administration responsible for so much misery. At some level, Democrats surely know this. But if Trump's campaign was already on the up and up, his brilliant, pitch-perfect stop to serve hamburgers and french fries last Sunday at a Bucks County, Pennsylvania, McDonald's might have sealed the deal. The 45th president of the United States ditched his signature suit for a chef's apron, manning the fryer and dishing out Happy Meals to drive-thru customers. Trump, a longtime McDonald's aficionado, was affable and came across as genuinely thrilled to be interacting with the fast-food franchise's employees and customers. The main photo of the visit that went viral, which saw Trump smiling as he waved goodbye to a drive-thru customer, has emerged as this presidential cycle's second-most iconic image -- following only Trump's mesmerizing raised fist and bloodied face in the aftermath of his brush with death on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Well, FDR did put Japanese in internment camps.
And Commiela Gopalan (The Tamil Brahman) did put peaceful protesters from Jan. 6 in jail for three and a half years.
So there’s that.
“But last night 30 thousand showed up for her rally in Houston. That’s scary.”
Have you ever been to Houston? Now that’s scary.
Meanwhile, the Harvard faculty overwhelmingly donated to Democrats for this election cycle. In a few cases, that meant donating to the harris/walz campaign—most donations were for down-ballot races.

This means that some of the most intelligent people in the USA (as proven by their earned PhDs, MDs, JDs, etc., as well as by whom they teach) donated to the stupidest politician in the USA!
Harvard can do better! At least a few donated to Trump/Vance, and a few more donated to no one!
Yes!
And Houston is the most liberal city in Texas!
There is a disturbing rumor afloat today that some 31 MILLION Evangelical Christians will NOT VOTE on 11/5/24!
I’m reminded of a joke so old that, when I first heard it, I kicked the slats out of my crib over 75 years ago Even if you’re heard it before, please resend it in hopes it reaches enough others to make the critical difference.
A man was caught in a raging flood & forced to seek safety on the roof of his home as the water contined to rise.
Soon a man in a boat came by & urgd him to get in. The man replied: “The Lord will save me” & waved him off.
The water rose higher & another boat drifted by & he again declined, & declared “The Lord will save me.”
This repeated 3 times until the water rose OVER the roof & the man drowned!
Upon reaching the pearly gates, the Lord greeted him & the man asked Him why He failed to save him.
The Lord replied, “My son, I sent boats for you but YOU REFUSED TO GET IN!”
What does this have to do with the most critical national election in our history?
EVERYTHING!
Given the incredible volume of information concerning the FLOOD of corruption, sinful behavior (pedophelia, bribes, theft & yes, murders! etc.) within some ranks of the political class (ESPECIALLY THE DEMOCRATS!), think of TRUMP as one of those boats. If you can think of WHY a 70 year old man worth $3 BILLION at the time would subject himself to what Satan & his minions have heaped upon TRUMP & his family, share it with us!
ALL THAT COMES TO MY ALLEGED MIND IS:
LOVE OF COUNTRY!

No they showed up for the entertainers.. harris just happened to be there.
They were reputedly promised a mini Beyonce concert and were given a couple tunes by Willie (but not the kind Kamala is especially familiar with) instead. Maybe the boos were over that. Besides, Austin is the Berkeley of Texas. If he was still around, Karl Marx would draw a good size audience there.
A combination of both in my (very biased) opinion. Trump's demeanor throughout was relaxed, articulate, and accessible - no teleprompter, just straight off the cuff and for three hours straight. It was a side of him that most people never see. Rogan's job was to keep him talking and Rogan is good at it. He has a bit of a talk-over problem as do a lot of moderators but kept it in check for the occasion.
The other slant on this is the medium itself. If the rumors that Barron talked his Dad into podcasting are true then the kid gets a big tip of the hat for it. This will reach more people than any conventional broadcast and has staying power that live debates, for example, do not have. It's a podcast, you want to hear it, just cue it up when you're ready. Last time I checked about 12 million people worldwide had, and it's the raw stuff, not the carefully spun product that inveterately hostile media such as ABC or CNN put out.
Which is why I can't envision Harris accomplishing it - no notes, no staffers running interference, nowhere to hide. No comparison. All IMHO, of course.
I hear she backed out of doing a Rogan podcast.
“If Trump wins, Time will have to swallow their pride (and some other nasty stuff) and declare him Man of the Year.”
It will certainly be a travesty if they don’t.
“Trump is an historic figure that will be remembered 100 years from now.”
He is certainly one of a kind.
It was a Beyoncé concert. Kamala Harris spoke for a few minutes at the end of it. She was interrupted frequently by people chanting Trump Trump Trump!
“I think Trump made the kill shot last night on Rogan’s podcast.”
Probably so. That, and Commiela’s refusal to sit for a Rogan interview (because he wouldn’t let her blather her way through without answering).
“She’s not cratering. She was never out of the pit.”
Perhaps not, but she was certainly being given a queen’s treatment after BiteMe was pushed aside and she was coronated. And then the “joy” period after the Dim convention.
“Like there’s a good time?.....”
Yeah, I wouldn’t think cratering would be a lot of fun any way through the process. But maybe the author’s point is there is not enough time to crawl out of the crater at this point in the election cycle.
Oops. I thought the rally was in Austin. They’d have to resurrect Lenin to get a good crowd in Houston.
“Probably. But last night 30 thousand showed up for her rally in Houston. That’s scary.”
Was the 30,000 crowd there to see and hear her or to see and hear some star-studded freebie entertainment? (I haven’t read up on that point.)
