Need some pick ups for sure as NY may lose a couple that they gained in 2022.
NY looks like it is highly likely to lose 2 Republicans (Williams, D’Esposito) and could very well lose the 3 other GOP freshmen (Lawler, Molinaro, LaLota). If any survive it will be LaLota, and he’s in a tight race. The others are all behind in the polls.
And then there’s California, where there’s a bunch of whoop-de-doo about Republicans having a 50-50 chance of picking up Katie Porter’s old seat.... while numerous Republican incumbents could go down hard (Garcia, Duarte, Calvert, Valadao, Steel, and I may be forgetting one).
Same thing that happened to Vermont. Demographic shifts over time. Progressives leaving the ugliness they created in megalopolis and bringing their politics with them. Also, dairy farmers were a big part of the GOP and conservative base in Vermont. Vermont has far fewer farmers than it had 60 years ago.
From 1860 until 1960, Vermont did not vote any Democrat to statewide or Federal office.
So sad.
NH is also in the same boat, I guess.
Three great Republican states overran by liberals!
Maine splits their electoral votes, that district votes Republican anyway. Trump won it twice.
