Pennsylvania Gov. Shapiro: Law enforcement should 'take a look at' Elon Musk voter payments
NBC News via MSN ^ | October 20, 2024 | Alexandra Marquez and Dasha Burns

ennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro on Sunday said that tech mogul Elon Musk's plan to give money to registered voters in Pennsylvania is "deeply concerning" and "it's something that law enforcement could take a look at" during an interview on NBC News' "Meet the Press."

Shapiro's comments come one day after Musk in Pennsylvania announced that he would give away $1 million per day until Election Day to registered voters who signed a petition circulated by his super PAC “in favor of free speech and the right to bear arms.”

The super PAC has made signing the petition a prerequisite for attending rallies headlined by Musk, and on Saturday he surprised one rally attendee by giving away the first $1 million check onstage.

Shapiro, a Democrat, made clear on Sunday that his political differences with Musk, who has endorsed former President Donald Trump and pledged to use millions of dollars to turn out Pennsylvania voters for the former president via his super PAC, are not driving his skepticism of these cash prizes.

"Musk obviously has a right to be able to express his views. He's made it very, very clear that he supports Donald Trump. I don't. Obviously we have a difference of opinion," Shapiro said, adding, "I don't deny him that, right, but when you start flowing this kind of money into politics, I think it raises serious questions."

So he was calling for LE to look into Zuckerberg’s funding of Leftist groups four years ago, right? That was much more direct and questionable. This is just encouraging folks who care about basic right to darn sure get involved in the political process.

DO they honestly think Musk failed to run this past a firm full of lawyers before he announced it?

Liberal clergy are given “walking around” money to pass on to folks who will vote their way. Been going on for decades.

Will he look into Kamala’s giveaways? She gives a free meal, $150, and bus rides to her rallies. In PN would this be considered paying for votes by a candidate?

He’s giving away money for a signature on a petition. I don’t think there is anything illegal about that, and it’s a random call, not everyone who signs it will receive 1 million. Same old, same old, singling out a man, looking for a crime, you know the sayings “can indict a ham sandwich” and “show me the man, I’ll show you a crime”. Another witch hunt.

Meanwhile, from PA via the AP, get a load of this...

In Pennsylvania, am I allowed to drop off a ballot for another voter?

“...Enforcing Pennsylvania’s law is another matter...In terms of its enforcement, there’s really, you know, very little ability to enforce something like somebody putting a ballot in the mail,” Boockvar said. “People have been mailing letters for each other forever.”...

They're saying the quiet part out loud.

My bet is to reassure any idiots getting cold feet.

Deep State can't have that, can they...

And I’ve never heard calls for them to be investigated.

And much better lawyers then the bottom of the barrel gov. ones. Lawyers who work for the government are usually ones who couldn’t make it on their own, or work for a law firm making at least twice the money as gov. lackeys.

Right, because it’s only legal and ethical when it’s tax money used to buy votes.

How about the demoncrats paying money to mules for stuffing fraudulent ballots in election boxes ? Gov. Shapiro should start there.

Meanwhile...

Why did the USPS turn off its mail imaging system for the 2020 mail-in election?

Why is it “deeply concerning”?
Democrats have been openly buying votes for decades.
Why isn’t he “deeply concerned” about that?
I think anything that “deeply concerns” today’s democrat must be a good thing.
