KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot pledged his support for Ukraine’s plan for ending the 2 1/2-year war with Russia, telling reporters in Kyiv on Saturday that he will work with Ukrainian officials to secure other nations’ backing for the proposal.
Unveiled by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier this week, Kyiv´s so-called “victory plan” hopes to compel Russia to end its invasion of Ukraine through negotiations. The proposal is being considered by Ukraine´s Western partners, whose help is vital for Kyiv to resist its bigger neighbor. A key element would be a formal invitation into NATO, which Western backers have been reluctant to consider until after the war ends.

I expected this after the election. The Neocons will have Ukraine pull-back its military to the Dniper River, and then the Neocons will IMMEDIATELY declare Ukraine (what’s left of it) to be a NATO country and immediately move troops in.
It will be up to Russia to respond...and they will. When that happens, pray.
I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions. He’s going to need more than just France to back this. I don’t think we ever will regardless of who wins in November and if we don’t it’s highly doubtful that we would get outvoted on an issue like this.

Sadly, the Neocons, and their proxies here, are simply UNABLE to grasp that simple fact, even though Russia has been perfectly clear about it.
The way the Neocons, and their proxies here, see it, it’s simply a land-grab by Putin. They are simply UNABLE to accept anything else, no matter how often it’s repeated to them.
The way Russia sees it, if it takes the loss of another 20 million people to keep Ukraine out of NATO so be it, but at least the Neocon-controlled countries will literally be wiped off the map in the process.

Fair point as the Neocons will have Hungary to deal with. But they surround Hungary, so they likely have a plan to bring Hungary to its knees in the process.
Most of the discussion here on this seems to start with Russia holding back 90% of its military capability in the Ukraine fight, by choice. And that they could fully commit and crush the Ukes at any time, they just are choosing not to for ?unknown reasons.
Is this really plausible?
If this dragged on for years, can Russia rebuild the high tech items they have lost and willcontinue to lose in battle? How long could these sanctions go on? 20 yrs? Forever or until Russia not there in current form?
France can do the fighting.
That is just Kremlin propaganda. NATO has been on Russia’s doorstep for over 20 years, in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Putin is a Hitler-style thug who must be deterred, and NATO deters him.
For starters Russia is resource-rich and very well educated (unlike one country that I’m familiar with).
What they found during the Ukraine War, thanks to the Neocon ‘sanctions’, was that they were being drained by the foreign ‘investment’ they allowed, and when that was cut-off nearly 3 years ago, their economy actually PROSPERED, while Europe is now in the dumps, and we’re not much better, given what we keep electing.
So the REAL QUESTION is how long can the Neocons hold out - for example, how long will Russia continue to sell Titanium to the Neocons to build fighters, similar for China - since once a hot war is declared, our industrial base (now located primarily in China) will likely disappear.
They can foot the bill and do the fighting.

The only thing they know how to do is lose. They have that down to a science. Trust the science.
I’m going to present a different theory. Trump gets in, tells Russia and Ukraine the war is over and to go back to their respective borders. He will say the flow of funding is over and that all he wants are the names of the American neocons who profited from the war.
Then the arrests begin and it is taken to The Hague to prosecute war crimes and profiteering. Then announce no one is above the law. Then start the crackdown on every Soros funded operation, including the DA’s.
You didn’t address why Russia hasn’t crushed Ukraine yet, assuming they have the ability. I can only surmise that they don’t have that ability short of deploying nuclear weapons which would be suicide. I think it’s been proven now that they’re not capable of winning a conventional war at this point.

At the beginning of the war, Russia said that the war could last 5 year. We’re a bit more than halfway through the 5 years, and I’d say Russia is sticking to their timeline.
As to your timeline, why should I care what you have to say?
Even if Trump wins, I think that the Neocon will blow up Ukraine and the West before Trump can take office.
If you listened at all you would know why.
Russia has the ability to steamroll, but millions of slavs would be killed and wounded. He never wanted that. He also said be never wanted Ukraine. At what point do you step in and stop the cleansing of your own people? He did that. This war was 100% avoidable, but the west just had to have it. Cover up their crimes in Ukraine. The depths of depravity there know no limits. The things I saw in Ukraine still haunt me (in relation to child trafficking).
Many people like to come and make comments or think they are in the know. They are not. They are simply victims of effective propaganda and fall into it. Very few people today actually use critical thinking skills.
