Today, the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) announced that President Donald J. Trump will serve as the special guest keynote speaker at the NRA’s “Defend the 2nd” event in Savannah, GA, on Tuesday, October 22nd.
When it comes to preserving and strengthening our Constitutional rights in America, the stakes could not be higher in this presidential election. No matter your reason for owning a firearm—whether for hunting, self-defense, or just as an exercise of your Constitutional right--law-abiding gun owners have a clear choice this fall if they hope to preserve their Second Amendment rights.
Kamala Harris has made clear her intention to infringe on gun owners’ rights by outlawing some of the most popular guns in America, taking so-called red flag laws to the federal level, and even making government-dictated safe storage a punishable offense. Her long record of support for radical anti-gun measures makes clear she will act on her promises and beyond.
As President, Donald Trump never wavered in his support of the Second Amendment and served as a steadfast advocate for NRA members, solidifying his legacy as a true champion of the right to keep and bear arms. In addition to being a Life member of the NRA, President Trump has the full endorsement of the NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) for this election.

I’m there! Signed up for tickets.
I wish we would make national reciprocity (or recognition) a thing... we had this huge movement in the early 2000s and it seemed to fade away once we got the foothold of RLEOs approved for it. For the past decade or two the PVF and ILA seemed more focused on defense instead of offense.

Agreed . I would also add making the purchases of silencers/suppressors legal without all the paperwork and tax stamp.
“I’m there! Signed up for tickets.”
That’s great! Those of us who can’t attend expect pictures and a “play-by-play”! So, be prepared!

I agree. It’s ridiculous that we have to do a state by state gun law research (and hope online information is current) before traveling. We refuse to travel to a state that does not have reciprocity with Georgia, so there are strict limitations as to where we can go in the RV.
In other Second Amendment news, today the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York struck down NY’s law on making it a felony for concealed carry permit holders to possess a firearm on private property without affirmative permission from the property owner by sign or express consent. The court ruled the law was unconstitutional.
The case is Brett Christian, Firearms Policy Coalition, and the 2nd Amendment Foundation v. Steve James, Superintendent of NY State Police and Michael Keane, District Attorney for Erie NY.
