I just remember during that time there was another 737 that almost crashed for the same reason, but the crew got control of the plane in time.

There was one that had the hard-over on the rudder by the valve failure (same as the others)
However, he had sufficient altitude and recognized that the rudder was doing the opposite of what he commanded.
That aircraft landed safely with no loss of life. It’s out there on YT. If I can find it I’ll post it to you.
