- Sweden is often viewed as a liberal utopia in Europe, known for its stable economy, high quality of life, and open and progressive society.
- But its center-right coalition government — which is propped up by the nationalist and right-wing Sweden Democrats party — has adopted an increasingly restrictive stance on immigration.
- The country is trumpeting its lower numbers of immigrants, but economists say the economic benefits are debatable, with growth and productivity among the factors to consider.
Sweden is often viewed as a a liberal utopia in Europe and beyond, with the country of 10.5 million people known for its stable economy, high quality of life, and open and progressive society.
That reputation for acceptance and tolerance was manifest in 2014 when asylum-seekers started to arrive en masse in Sweden and elsewhere in Europe from war-torn areas of the Middle East, particularly Syria.
At the time, Sweden's then-Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt implored citizens to "show tolerance," telling the public: "I know that this will cause friction. I therefore call on the Swedish people to show patience and open their hearts."
Sweden registered 81,301 asylum-seekers in 2014, data shows. By 2015, that number had doubled to almost 163,000 and in November that year, Sweden said it needed "respite."
“It pains me that Sweden is no longer capable of receiving asylum seekers at the high level we do today. We simply cannot do anymore,” Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said at a now-infamous news conference which saw the deputy prime minister break down in tears.
Since then, Sweden’s immigration policy has been on a one-way street. It became tighter under the center-left coalition government in power until late 2022, and even more strict under the current conservative administration

Yeah, and they called anyone who had misgivings “Xenophobic,” and “racist,” and “bigoted.”

Take someone from a culture in which unaccompanied women are thought to be legitimate targets for abuse, where a woman who exposes her ankles is considered a trollop, etc., and put him in a country where beautiful blonde women wear miniskirts and walk around alone. It always end in an orgy of rape.

Dramatic like a person thrown off a cliff trying to change direction. Flail all you want. You’re still going to hit the rocks below.
Can Sweden be saved? Only if they are willing to take bold action, and forcibly repatriate all the Muslim invaders. And that ain’t gonna happen.
Idiots.
Just like us.

Virtue-signalling their culture into extinction.
Some years back an ‘artist’ made a big chocolate cake shaped like a pregnant black woman, and some swedish woman politician eagerly served up slices to a fawning media. That happened in the thick of their third-world importation scheme.

Yep. And Muslims don’t need a majority to begin to take over a country. 5 to 10% of the population is usually enough to get the ball rolling. Exact numbers are difficult to come by, but Sweden is now roughly 8% Muslim.
Dr. Peter Hammond did a study on all this. It’s here:

(The percentages cited are old, from 2007)

Maybe some were. But it’s mostly military-age men: late teens to late forties. Men with no family of their own, few skills, and no real desire to assimilate. Possibly outcasts, misfits, criminals, or mentally ill. IMHO, Syria (and other Middle Eastern states) sent them to the West to be the West’s problem. Why governments in the West agreed to/permitted it I’ll never understand because it’s the citizens who pay for it in blood and taxes.

Economists say it’s better to have rape and murder if the alternative is lower productivity. I guess women are an economic asset to be used to purchase labor. They don’t say anything about the quality of labor when you get people from shithole countries to work in the Volvo factory.

Then these ‘economists’ need to be jailed for Treason. No country should even be debating population replacement, much less doing it.

This is the price that Europe is paying by allowing women in politics.

“Lind accused the government of scapegoating migrants, “saying they’re ... basically the cause

Agree, since, no doubt, if they look hard enough they’ll find a Swedish woman who shoplifted.

You have to read all the way down to see that we’re not talking about a few thousand people, but millions making up 20% of the population.
There is no coming back from this.
