What a warrior angel!
Facebook is full of the same thing.
Bodies hanging up in trees, strewn across mountain sides, buried in mud.
Too bad they’re not Ukrainians or border jumpers.
Help would be pouring in from Jackyla and Joe.
My friend and her whole little town are diehard conservatives.
Most of the little barely on the map towns are but the news is obsessed with liberal Asheville.
Still, I pray for them too and their pets.
I would not wish this on anyone ever.
Most know about my house fire, my husband and service dog dying and my ongoing struggle to get back home.
One day you have your life, and suddenly you don’t.
At least I have some of my house left and may get to go back one day, empty as it will feel.
Regardless of politics, these people just got savagely curb stomped.
I grieve for ALL of them.
I know how it feels but not to their degree.
We should all be thankful for what we have, sparse as it may or may not be, and pray hard for the flood victims.
All of them
If bears were climbing that high up, I’d be bugging out immediately.
The Cajun Navy is there already with some sort of communication command center uplink thing.
There’s a dry run parallel to my house.
Never has water unless it rains.
The springs that fed it hundreds of years ago have shifted.
But one terrible day torrents of rain rushing down the mountain nearly had it in my yard and when that hit the confluence of a live spring at the end of my lane, all hell broke loose.
We, on the “ safe” side could only watch in horror as a house was destroyed
The footnote is the guy had his dog crated on the first floor and instead of saving him, he tried to push his stupid car uphill.
Water drowned his sweet dog and then slammed the car through his house.
I knew the dog was in dire straits but couldn’t get across the water to save it.
It was flowing fast and hard enough to be carrying leg breaking rocks down from the mountain.
That dog had run off and showed up in my yard and been returned by me several times over the years.
The last time it came to my yard I should’ve just kept it.
:(
The number you are trying to reach is under water and unavailable. - Joe says I talked to them.

Obviously natural instincts are still strong in critters.
People have lost much of that because they wait sit around and wait for someone to tell them what to do rather than rely on instinct.
I can’t imagine.
Hope she doesn’t get sick from being in that waste water.
Majority of Ashville are Democrats.
Numbers count, beliefs don’t.
Wow.
