I (pray) talk to my guardian angel all the time. On two occasions he has talked back. Don’t limit the power and love of God. To para-phrase Elisha, “There are more for us than against us.”
Whatsamatter - don't you believe in praying?
If the folks here on FR would study the different levels of prayer; LATRIA is the direct adoration of God, DULIA is honor given to saints and good angels (aka “saved” persons), and HYPER-DULIA is the special honor given to God’s Blessed Mother Mary, who was free from Original Sin.
Praying to St Michael is a good sign from President Trump. It indicates that he knows he cannot do any good without the help of God’s grace, and he is invoking the most important warrior in the war of good versus evil.
That’s it. Yes.
Did you actually read the prayer? “By the power of God”.
I don’t know where you got that idea. I guess I should have called them anti-Catholics. They must chime in anytime they can against any Catholic belief while extolling their own beliefs. Putting people down for their beliefs and in their own narcissism thinking that they could be the only ones who are right.
The way I read it and to whom you responded, I took your statement to read bigots who are catholic
Yes, but it’s still praying to an angel. Why not pray directly to God, and ask Him to send forth? I believe that angels are created beings, sent to help us, and that archangels are a specific class, in Michael’s case, a warrior class, in Gabriel’s case, a herald class. I do believe we have guardian angels, not assigned to only one person, of course, because there probably aren’t that many, but enough to get the job done, as it were. I believe that when we pray to the LORD for protection, for example, God sends an angel to protect us.

….and now you know the rest of the story.
—> There are more than enough biblical references to angels - Old and New Testament
True, but there are more mentions of money than even he’ll.
Yet no where does Scripture teach us to pray to money or angels.

And some people talk to trees.
I simply asked for someone to post chapter and verse where Christian’s were encouraged or taught or commanded to talk, orpray to an angel.
So far just feelings kind of stuff.
1. Angels can hear you.
2. Angels aren’t dead people.
3. We ask Michael to help us “by the power of God”. Maybe you missed that part.
4. Angels offer the prayers of the saints before the throne of God. Consult your Bible, if you have one.
Jesus the Christ is the High Priest, the Intercessor. Why would you not pray to the Son of God directly? He can handle any number of petitions at the same time. Who do you go to put in a good word with your dad, the mailman or your big brother?
Ok. I’m fine with that.
My question is why do you care?
Another question is why would you assume I don’t do that
I didn’t assume anything. It was a rhetorical question, but I can see how you might see it differently.
Why do I care? Because Pres. Trump (nor anyone else) doesn’t need to be misdirected about talking to God.
WTH are you saying??? I pray to St, Michael TWICE EVERY DAY....AFTER MY ROSARY AND AFTER DAILY MASS!!
That is a completely idiotic response.
Stop talking to me
Huh?
