Our cause transcends any border and any obstacle!
Hundreds of towns in Venezuela and hundreds of cities in the world united today in a cry for FREEDOM!
Thank you, Madrid! Thank you to every Venezuelan in Spain and to every Spaniard with their heart in Venezuela, for being a firm and active part of our cause!
Thank you to every citizen who was active today in these powerful swarms that have managed to make the world reverberate with our firm determination to recognize Edmundo González as our President Elect and to enforce our Popular Sovereignty!
This is a great show of support for Edmundo González and the Venezuelan opposition, but the dictator Maduro and the Cuban intelligence agents who control him don't care about any of this. It will take military force to remove Maduro and the Cubans from power in Venezuela. The OAS needs to organize a multi-national military force to remove Maduro from power and restore democracy in Venezuela. If confronted by a multinational force, Maduro's regime would collapse in 48 hours, and he would flee to Cuba. But nobody in the OAS wants to do that, so Venezuela continues to sink into chaos and tyranny.
As the great Rush Limbaugh said many times on air: "the world is governed by the aggressive use of force." Economic sanctions won't work. Only force will remove dictator Maduro and his regime from power.
As always, the real problem is Cuba.
Remove that and much of the problems in the South go away.
Economic sanctions may work against a government which still cares about the well being of their citizens (at least somewhat).
The government, which cares only for keeping itself in power, does not care!
Maduro will not be voted out of power.
The real problem is the Venezuelan underclass who initially put him into power, and which will ALWAYS support socialism, not just because they want a share of the wealth, but because they HATE the people who are more prosperous than them.
Same deal in Iran and many other places. Do not underestimate the level of envy of the underclass.
But it’s clear that he lost the “election” by huge margins.
NM, he just declares himself the winnah and publishes BS results.
Can the 30% of idiots really hold everyone else down that long?
Only if everyone else is disarmed. Castro took over in Cuba with a fraction of that many people and went up against an armed populace. The inverse scenario - an organized anti-socialist populace - should be able to do the same thing.
These guys aren’t invincible. What they DO have is help from elsewhere - Cuba, the old Soviet Union, China - but all of those places are shadows of their former selves. China doesn’t overthrow places now for political reasons, they do it to get the resources.
So the envious peons are not the wall that people might think. They wouldn’t be an underclass if they had any brains or military strength.
Maduro can go down.
“ Can the 30% of idiots really hold everyone else down that long?”
A small group who are willing to fight can dominate a larger group who are unwilling to actually fight.
Venezuelans are doing more about their stolen election than we did about ours.
