Could well be. Even if it doesn’t happen you can be sure that Dem strategists have been pushing for something like this, especially if Harris is falling behind in the polls.

I think it has more to do with the House races. It is “assumed” that the Rs will take the Senate for at least two years. If they take the House than the MAGA agenda can move forward. The investment banks already have teams gaming the tariff impacted, while their tax accountants are trying to figure out the impact of tax policy for either party.
If either candidate wins with a split Congress….policies will be diluted…a lot.
You will start to see movement around the middle of October when the “real” polls (the ones that these investment banks run) start to get a feel for the direction.
I am concerned about the Port Strike and stuff blowing up in Iran. Those things could send the markets down the drain. And like all “black swans” the down draft would accelerate pretty fast. And, like all Black Swans people will look back and say, “yeah…I should have seen that.”
