Funny story. Back when we had a home phone, our number was one number off (in the area code) of a mail-in pharmacy. We would constantly get calls from people asking about not getting their prescriptions. One time there was an obviously older gentleman calling about his Cialis prescription. The prescribing doctor? Richard Straight. We kept that message for years.
I hope that they gave him little or no medicine for pain management. I would’ve told him to ‘walk it off.’

Forty years ago our home phone number was one off of a 24/7 commodities brokerage service in town.
One night about 2am we got a call from a drunk guy wanting the price of soy beans. He was irate when I told him he had the wrong number. After his 3rd call I shot him a price that was half of what I knew it was. Never heard from him again. I hope he didn’t off himself.
I worked at John Deere so I knew the price of soy beans.
