The U.S. Supreme Court rejected on Sept. 20 the Green Party’s request to restore its candidates to the state ballot for the Nov. 5 election.
The new ruling was made after the Nevada Supreme Court ruled 5–2 on Sept. 6 that the party’s candidates could not appear on the ballot because they used the wrong form when gathering ballot-access signatures from the public. The ruling also follows the Nevada State Democratic Party’s challenge of signatures that would have permitted Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein to appear on the ballot.
No justices dissented from the new order, nor did they explain why they denied the Green Party’s request.

Rule #1: Use the correct form.
Either stupidity or sabotage was involved.
Calling today’s USA regime a banana republic is insulting to both bananas and republics.
Dumb ol’ Green Party doesn’t understand that only the Democrats can do election activities incorrectly and then get away with it.

It was sabotage. Vigilanteman in post #1 is correct. From the article:
…the office of Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar had instructed the Nevada Green Party to use the wrong form. Although the court determined that the incident was “an unfortunate mistake,” that mistake did not rise to the level of a federal constitutional violation.
I like consistency in the law. If Pennsylvania needs a date on a mail in ballot, per law, Nevada needs to have the correct form, per law.
If you don’t like the law, change the law.

To add your name to the growing Nevada ping list, FReepmail me...
Next, the NV state government will insist that republican districts use the wrong ballot so federal courts can declare them invalid.
If this is like the Democratic Party trying to keep Kennedy off the ballot for falsely claiming a New York residence on his nominating petitions when in fact per law he had to use the same address in every state. And in some states it had to be the address where he votes, which is New York...there is good reason for suspicion.
Jill Stein and the Green Party won the 2016 election for Donald Trump in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
The Green Party got more votes in each of those three states than Trump's margin of victory against Hillary in each of those states.
In 2020, the Green Party vote in those three states collapsed by 80%-90%.
Bummer but we all have to follow the rules.

Contract law frequently requires that an applicant or a buyer or a taxpayer or an administrator has full responsibility for knowing the correct forms, or for verifying the correct numbers, in agreements.
I will speculate that the correct form is specifically identified in the Nevada Administrative Code.
Without that stipulation, every unhappy party to an agreement would be claiming that someone in authority gave them bad information.
A divided Nevada Supreme Court reversed that ruling on Sept. 6, finding that the office of Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar (a Democrat) had instructed the Nevada Green Party to use the wrong form.
How do you know they didn't?
Yeah that’s shenanigans.

Yes but, as Reagan said, trust but verify. And ALWAYS double check what the lying ‘RATS and neocons tell you.
The Democrats are all about democracy when it suits them...
