There is no element of the US government, not even all three branches acting together, that can surrender an ounce of American sovereignty to the UN, the WHO, or any other international or transnational organization.

The US government did not create the Constitution, the People acting organically through the 1788 Convention and the States’ ratification process did that. It is that people’s Constitution that created the US government.

The first words of Article I are “ALL legislative powers herein GRANTED shall be vested in a Congress of the united States. The first words of Article II are “The Executive power SHALL BE VESTED in a President of the united States”. The first words of Article III are “The Judicial Power of the united States SHALL BE VESTED in one Supreme Court”.

Reid v. Covert (1957) clarified the Supremacy Clause so that no treaty made to subvert or modify the Constitution can be valid.

I wish the GOP in Congress, about to be greatly reduced in size, had concentrated on legislating instead of ridiculous intramural battles, showoff “hearings” and “investigations”, and now these alarmist warnings about things that the government at Washington has no power to do.

Now, don’t get me wrong. The government at Washington can (and perhaps will) seize power never granted to it by the sovereign and can establish a despotism at its own pleasure. But that is a domestic, not an international, problem.
