Police arrested a woman wanted for allegedly stealing $200,000 in jewelry and other items from two tourists after she reportedly drove a car impaired and without a license plate on the Las Vegas Strip, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.
Police arrested Cassandra Tovar, 31, following a traffic stop on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday, Sept. 6, they said. An officer pulled Tovar over after noticing she was driving a car without a license plate and appeared intoxicated. While checking Tovar’s information, officers learned she was wanted for theft and other charges.
On April 23, 2023, a man called police saying he was the victim of a theft, documents said. The man said he and another man were staying at the MGM Signature Towers when they met three women at a bar and later transitioned to their room.
One of the women “propositioned [one of the men] for sexual intercourse and stated it was $1,000 each,” documents said, “[The victim] stated he told her he was not paying for sex. They continued to converse outside on the balcony and [one woman] brought him a drink in a shot glass. They encouraged [the victim] to drink it. After [he] drank it, he stated he passed [out] and did not remember anything else.”
The men later woke up, finding all their jewelry and other items missing. A toxicology test later showed “various controlled substances” in the sample.
Police located surveillance video and a car registered to one of the women, they said. The woman later admitted to having drinks with the men and stealing the jewelry.
Inside the woman’s home, police said they found several high-end watches, diamond bracelets and clothing, they said. After arresting the woman, police located Tovar as a possible second suspect involved in the theft.
Police attempted to contact Tovar but were unsuccessful. A judge then signed off on a warrant for her arrest.
During Tovar’s initial court appearance, Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Daniel Westmeyer set bail at $20,000. Tovar remained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center as of Thursday. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for November.
Prosecutors did not file any charges related to Tovar’s traffic stop, records said. Two other women face charges for the 2023 theft.
Regards,
I have recently come across a very strange phenomenon: Sovereign Citizens. There are, apparently, thousands of videos, filmed by the Sovereigns themselves, challenging police, traffic cops that the police have no authority, and especially, no ‘jurisdiction’ over them. There are also thousands of police bodycam videos of the encounters. Like the lady in Vegas, they often break several laws, including speeding, no or fictitious license plates. If not for this, they would not be pulled over in a traffic stop.
Apparently there are some websites where you can actually use your money to purchase license plates and ‘traveler’ IDs. They state over and over that they are not driving, they are traveling. While professing that no State or Federal laws apply to them, they cherry pick certain parts to ‘justify’ their claim that NO ONE has jurisdiction over them. There are Zoom Court videos of Sovereigns behind bars who continue to claim no one has jurisdiction.
Some of the most amusing encounters, whether filmed by the Sovereign or the Police, are when they refuse to identify or exit their vehicle. The police inform them that the driver side window will be broken, and they will be removed. There have been so many Sovereign windows smashed, there are actually YouTube compilation videos of the window smashing.
Almost as much fun as the police encounters are when the Sovereign actually appear in Court to challenge, well, everything and everyone. Some Judges laugh, some attempt to communicate, other Judges just declare a major doubt that the Sovereign is competent to stand trial. The Sovereigns really hate that part.
The people who actually sell some of this crap must be laughing all the way to the bank.
Many of the videos use the term SovCit.
Over 90% of all the Sovereigns arrested have several suspensions of their privilege to drive. They then state they are ‘traveling’ not driving, while sitting in the driver’s seat.
If you would like to witness just how far down the rabbit hole one can fall, look for Sovereign or SovCit Eric Martin. He may have his own YouTube channel by the time you read this.

That’s why I always make sure my car has a license plate whenever I’m engaged in criminal activity or have a warrant outstanding. /s
NY has a plate they use. I saw one a few months ago.
It's cheaper than a divorce.
Bidenomics.

“Moors” are an especially entertaining sub species. They are blacks who insist they are indigenous to North America and that Europeans are subject to deportation.
“1000? The price of ***** is too damn high!”
Before I comment...I would like to express this is a joke. I do not actually feel this way, but I can’t resist the reply”
“1000? The price of ***** is too damn high!”
And after 27 years of marriage, that would be a bargain. /joking
Not Moors, Moops.
