Kamala Harris is losing the fight for the American middle.
In the latest New York Times/Siena College poll, a plurality of respondents — 44% — label her “too liberal or progressive.”
Only 42% say she’s “not too far either way,” compared to a solid 50% who say that about Donald Trump.
But it’s not only voters who think Harris is too far left; the vice president herself agrees.
That’s why she’s running like a wannabe Republican, even welcoming support from Liz and Dick Cheney.
She’s tried to make “freedom,” the traditional rallying cry of conservatives, her campaign’s watchword.
The newly contrived policy pages of Harris’ website downplay what she and Joe Biden have actually done these last four years, and instead emphasize what she says she’ll do if elected in November.

Agreed, I can imagine her debate “performance” likely did not change that perception.
Her “performance” was so off-putting. That smirk said it all.
Yep, she’s running as your typical Country Club Republican Neocon.
Liz Cheney’s perfect candidate.
Her facial expressions may have hurt her.
In 1960, people who listened to the Kennedy-Nixon debate on the radio thought Nixon won, but those who watched it on TV thought Kennedy won.
Nixon was sweating under the TV lights and looked uncomfortable.
Appearances matter.
I thought her slogan was “Fweedum.”
Welcoming support from Liz and Dick Cheney is certainly not shifting to the right. It simply means she’s getting support from the Deep State and the Bush crowd. And they are far enough left to be democrats.
She ruffled Trump in the middle. Trump won the beginning and the End. Very string closing, “ why haven’t she don3 anything in the past 3 and a half years.”
