I don't think the "debate" (ambush) will likely change the race dynamics in the long run. At best, Harris kept from absolutely destroying herself (with the aid of two ABC team players).

Was Harris at the debate? I thought it was Trump against three of the lower case abc network’s losers.

The issues all favor Trump. The post Drbate headlines were already written. He did what he needed to do, hit her on her policies.

Kamala Harris and her team of Democrat Party moderators were widely seen as dominating Tuesday's presidential debate against Republican former president Donald Trump

Perhaps he was on the defensive over a few of the questions. But to say that she dominated the debate is ridiculous.

When Reuters is saying Kamala blew it... You just know it was so much worse than that. She blew it big time.
Who knows... In a day or two George Clooney may be asking for another ‘replacement’.

She was hard to see given the hulking frames of her Emotional Support Moderators.

Say what you want about the debate, but it still didn’t change the fact that with Harris there is no there there.

Ambush—that’s the right word.
To: SharpRightTurn
She came across as completely phony, rehearsed to recite non-content platitudes, and unpleasant (the smirking, eye rolling and condescending head shaking).

Was there ever a wide shot showing how short Harris is compared to Trump?
Or was it split-screen the whole time.
To: kiryandil
“Widely seen as dominating the debate.” Widely seen by the left-wing Reuters.

Some serious jazz hands too, from what little This Guy saw before tuning out.
To: one guy in new jersey
LOL! That was probably the most blatant “moderator” interference I’ve ever seen.

she focused much of the debate on attacking Trump rather than laying out detailed policies
She had the moderators doing the attacking for her. She was totally scripted.

“Widely seen as dominating the debate.”
Passive voice. No actual person would attribute that much Mojo to Harris.

My Dad and brother are Liberal Democrats who are not voting for Harris. The called the Debate a draw, but said that Trump’s closing statement was very strong.

Yes. I thought that was very telling.

I agree with your dad and brother’s observation on the debate being a draw and Trump’s closing being strong.
The more I think about the issues that Trump addressed I find it hard to believe that he lost that debate.

Yeah, I think you might see a generated surge for Harris, but the downwards trajectory is a lock as people think about the last 4 years.
