I’ve grown old of these clowns... I was in lower Manhattan on 9/11 and saw both towers collapse. I had to walk from Battery Park to Brooklyn via the Manhattan Bridge, in the roadway, to get on a LIRR train to go home.

I took a quick look at the site and they’ve already lost me at “complex flight maneuvers” and “were they controlled by computers”. Boeing 757s and 767s have flight directors and autopilots. The planes are usually controlled by computers.

Not to make light of the issue but anyone with 1990s-level computer skills can operate a plane in flight using only the AP/FD, and that has been the norm for decades, certainly before 9/11. Once in the cockpit, there was nothing to stop the hijackers from programming a course that would take them directly into their target. While they could have flown the plane by hand, there was no need to. Whether they did or didn’t, the outcome was the same.

Bad news for your computer theory Bro. That computer system will not accept instructions that exceed the aerodynamics of the aircraft. It will simply disengage auto pilot. That system will only accept light banks and slow ascend descend commands. It will not accept excessive speed commands for the altitude.

As far as manually flying the plane Mr. GG2 was certified for a 737 and he says he couldn’t have performed those maneuvers on his best day and if he did try those maneuvers at high speed at that altitude the epinage would have torn off and likely the wings would have also.
