Rep. Ruben Gallego, the Democratic Senate nominee in Arizona, is leading Republican candidate Kari Lake by 15 points, according to the poll. In Nevada, Sen. Jacky Rosen, the incumbent Democrat, is leading Republican Sam Brown by 14 points.

These numbers are of course too high, but I don't doubt the Democrats have real leads of least five percent. There is just way too much out-of-state money coming in to what are now mini-Presidential races for most GOP candidates to overcome.

I'm gaving a hard tine understanding why she's not 15 points ahead. She's got name recognition in spades. She's easy on the eyes. Are Arizona Republicans that wedded to illegal labor? Is the old Hughes Tuscon crowd still that stuck on a crook like McCain? Are there really that many California escapees? Is Fox sampling illegals too? Bureaucrats and welfare cases can't carry the whole state, can they?

Could somebody from Goldwater's Arizona please help me understand this?
