“This super-charged storm will bring wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour, as well as torrential rainfall of eight inches in places, which will be amplified by an atmospheric river stretching 2,000 miles along the coast.
An atmospheric river is a long and narrow region of the atmosphere that carries warmth and moisture from the tropics toward Earth’s poles”
Well, that sounds a lot like our hurricane helene. We were supposed to get wind up to 60 and lots of rain. And I couldn’t figure out how those clouds held on to all that moisture across three states.
How far inland are you? Hopefully that helps some, although it didn’t do North Carolina or East Tennessee any good. I’m so happy you have a wonderful wood stove and most likely a generator?
How far inland are you?
We’re about 10 miles inland.
I’m so happy you have a wonderful wood stove and most likely a generator?
Thank you, so are we!
Yes, we also have a generator, thank God!
We are also very fortunate and Thankful, that Mr.B
knows how to do so many things!
His recovery from his hip replacement has been
phenomenal, but this is also only the beginning
of week 4 since his surgery!
