In September 2018, Prof. Donald Harris (Kamala's father) wrote about his family's roots in Jamaica and claimed to be descended from the 19th-century planter and slave owner Hamilton Brown. Here are Kammie's father's own words:
"My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown's Town) and to my maternal grandmother Miss Iris (née Iris Finegan, farmer and educator, from Aenon Town and Inverness, ancestry unknown to me). The Harris name comes from my paternal grandfather Joseph Alexander Harris, land-owner and agricultural 'produce' exporter (mostly pimento or all-spice), who died in 1939 one year after I was born and is buried in the church yard of the magnificent Anglican Church which Hamilton Brown built in Brown's Town (and where, as a child, I learned the catechism, was baptized and confirmed, and served as an acolyte)."Well, I guess you could argue that is a "direct familial connection to the legacies of slavery." Just not in the way they want.

We used to hear about Welfare Queens popping out dozens of kids to keep the welfare checks flowing in. They saw Uncle Sugar as their payday as long as the kids kept coming. I wonder if that is still true. They may be stupid, but they are responding rationally to perverse economic incentives created by our very stupid government.

Hamilton Brown was born in Co Antrim (Ireland) in 1776, the year of the US Declaration of Independence.
Brown emigrated to Jamaica, then a British colony, and became an enthusiastic slave owner on the sugar plantations that were the mainstay of the island’s economy. He opposed the abolition of slavery across the British Empire in 1832 and went to Antrim to replace his slaves with workers from his native county.
The Irish formed a significant portion of the early white population in the British colony of Jamaica. Hamilton Brown emigrated to this Caribbean Island around 1795, initially working as an estate bookkeeper before amassing extensive land holdings. He became a wealthy cattle breeder and sugar plantation owner, at various times owning, managing or serving as executor for several dozen estates in Jamaica (mostly in St Ann’s Parish), including one he named “Antrim” after the county of his birth.

They probably disagree with her policies, what she reveals, that is. Plus, just because her skin is dark, she’s not African American, she’s just pretending to be, and they know it.
Gubmint handouts, also known as wealth redistribution of tax payer money, are what keeps them on the dim plantation.
Black women do not like women of other ethnicities stealing their men. When she was having her fling with a black married man named Mayor Willie Brown, who was married to a black woman. At the time, Kamala was selling herself as a person of Indian descent. I don’t think that sat well with traditional black women back then, and it still doesn’t today.
