Kosovo authorities on Friday closed five parallel institutions working with the ethnic Serb minority, a move that was immediately criticized by the United States and could further raise tensions with neighboring Serbia.

Elbert Krasniqi, Kosovo's minister of local administration, confirmed the closure of five so-called parallel institutions in the north — where most of the ethnic Serb minority lives — writing in a Facebook message that they "violate the Republic of Kosovo’s constitution and laws.”

The U.S. embassy in Kosovo reiterated Friday in a statement Washington’s “concern and disappointment with continuing uncoordinated actions” taken by Pristina “that continue to have a direct and negative effect on members of the ethnic Serb community and other minority communities in Kosovo.”

Kosovo was a former Serbian province until a 78-day NATO bombing campaign in 1999 ended a war between Serbian government forces and ethnic Albanian separatists in Kosovo, which left about 13,000 dead, mainly ethnic Albanians, and pushed Serbian forces out.

Talk about BULLSHIT - Kosovo doesn’t even use their outhouse without approval of the West.

US REACTS WITH ALARM!

Certainly the US and NATO will bomb the Muslim children with Cluster Bombs until the Serbian Governing Structures are restored.

The US and NATO insist on Equal Treatment and all.

During which, Serbs decided to conduct widespread genocide, killing more than 8,000 men and boys in Srebrenica

Srebrenica is in Bosnia-Hercegovina, not Kosovo, and happened in 1995, not 1999. And it was not genocide.

Even according to CNN, there were only 2,000 dead (about even on both sides) in the low-grade civil unrest in Kosovo before the NATO bombing campaign.

The majority of ethnic Albanians in Kosovo were followers of the peaceful leader Rugova. The narco-mafia KLA were involved in drug, gun and human smuggling and dubbed “the Scourge of Europe” by Interpol and listed as a terrorist organization by our State Department (and twice caught training with All Qaida by the German BND) before we decided to become their air force. At home in Kosovo, they ran around killing Serbs and ethnic Albanian Rugova followers. Very nasty thugs indeed.

After the NATO bombing, they came pouring out of their hidey-holes just over the Albanian border and ethnically cleansed Kosovo of nearly all its Serbs, Roma, Gorani, and other minorities, as well as every last Jew. Oh, and killed some Rugova followers, too, just for fun. Then they began burning down ancient churches and monasteries and peeing on the ashes. Lovely folks.

NATO is still there, babysitting these gangsters, 25 years later. They do cute things, like when that policeman shot Serbian boys (one only 11 years old) who were carrying the traditional large Christmas tree into the Orthodox Church in their village on Christmas Eve a couple of years ago. Why? They were in his way and he was in a hurry to get to the ski lodge.

Tlozo, why do get so emotional over something you know so very little about?

So, previous Serb genocide of ethnic pocket had no impact on the west trying to protect another ethnic pocket attacked by Serbs? Okay

LOL, sure Srebrenica, where the Serbs separated all the men and boys, for execution, wasn't a genocide.
