The Center Square) – The California legislature passed a bill banning local governments from adopting voter identification laws for local elections. California does not require identification to vote, but earlier this year, the City of Huntington Beach approved a voter ID requirement for municipal elections starting in 2026. This bill would override Huntington Beach’s policy.

“An overwhelming body of evidence proves that voter ID laws only subvert voter turnout and create barriers to law abiding voters,” wrote bill author State Sen.

I wonder how a law like that would be seen by SCOTUS.

there should be legal grounds for challenging that law...

since those voting illegally would undo the votes of the legally authorized voters.

California reminds me of a poisonous snake that just keeps biting itself until it dies.

There are three kinds of cities in California. Some cities might be incorporated in such a way that not all state edicts apply to them. I believe that Charter Cities are exempt from certain state mandates.

If this is the case, then if the cities can qualify as "legal citizens" then they can fight for their rights federally that they believe are being taken away from them by the state.

“An overwhelming body of evidence proves that voter ID laws only subvert [illegal] voter turnout [true] and create barriers to law abiding voters [false]”

Does this mean conservatives can take voting trips to California?

And yet the DNC erected multiple fences around their convention in Chicago and required IDs to get in.

If the Republicans win the House, Senate and the White House,
the Congress should propose a Constitutional amendment
mandating positive identification for the electorate
of each state for all elections of national import;
House, Senate and presidential elections as well
as for all state, local and municipal offices.

In addition, all federal funds should be cut off to those
stsaes that give IDs to non citizens. The federal government should
refuse to accept any IDs from citizens of those states
that will not comply. Also, the election results from
phoney ID states should not be accepted. Delegations from
those states should not be seated in Congress until the
nation can be assured that those elections were honestly
conducted.

RATs cannot win elections if people have to prove they are eligible to vote. California needs to start calling itself the Sidewalk Feces State.

California’s “votes” should not be counted in national elections. They should all be considered as being FRAUDULENT. Which they are. A lot of them are filled out by maggots in this country illegally.

This is probably necessary. In olden times polling was face to face and most everyone was identified one way or another. Plus they needed to own property, etc., as additional requirements.

Of course the Constitution restricts voting laws to the States, but the widespread abuse ought to prompt ID laws for voting.

An amendment might pass.

..........arguably, the reason California has Marxist super majorities in their legislature is that they have been stealing elections for decades.

If we had a federal government, this could be proven. But, the feds have gone marxist too.
