The man who was caught on multiple viral videos attacking and threatening drivers across Los Angeles has been released from state prison less than one year after he was sentenced to a five-year sentence.
Nathaniel Radimak pleaded guilty to felony charges of assault and making criminal threats in August 2023, and has been paroled after ten months in a state prison, prompting several of his victims to speak out about his release.

Will he do it again after his early release from prison? Youbetcha.
Side note: When I was but a lad, I attended a driver education class. The instructor said that when you’ve stopped in traffic, always leave room in front of you to quickly pull out if you have to - just for incidents like this one.
That’s not always possible in heavy multi-lane traffic, but it’s good advice and it always stuck with me.
UPS driver training mnemonic: “All Good Kids Love Milk.” (that was from 35 years ago. it’s probably been updated for dei since).
“All”: “Always leave yourself an out.”
I wonder if his batteries will still be any good once he gets out in 5 years.
> once he gets out in 5 years <
He’s out now. He was sentenced to 5 years, but it’s California. He didn’t even serve a year.
I didn’t take driver’s ed but my father, who had driven a bus for 15 years taught me. One thing I remember him saying, “assume that everyone out there is an idiot.”
What did John McClane say, “Geez, California.”
this is shocking! shocking I tell you! it isn’t just simple battery but complicated battery! have we no decency anymore? outlaw tesla charging stations now to end this! do it for the children!
I’m no fan of battery cars by any means but what does driving a tesla have to do with this guy being a lunatic?
If he was driving a Kia or toyota etc. I seriously doubt it would have even been mentioned.

Good advice. And it’s usually a terrible idea to get out of your car to confront such idiots. Escape is better. Even lions usually pick flight over fight.
But what to do if you’re trapped by traffic, and the assailant has not just damage but murder on his mind? Then you’d better have a plan. And that’s why I tell my gun-adverse friends to carry at a minimum police grade pepper spray.
Fox and Sabre are good brands. Both are available on Amazon, and are legal in all 50 states. Some states do have size restrictions.

Before he was caught, he was given a nickname: the Tesla road-rager. So I suppose the “Tesla” was added to differentiate him from other road-ragers.
People who leave too much space in front of them prevent people from getting into the left turn lane and missing a cycle of the light. This can lead to road rage.

Agreed. 1/4 of a car length is probably enough. Anything closer is not wise for a number of reasons. You might drift forward. The other guy might drift backward. Plus there’s that escape thingy.
My dad’s advice on passing on two lane roads, if you hesitate about pulling out to pass, don’t attempt to pass.
The rule of the road that I use is that I must see the bottom of the tires of the car in front of me. All of my cars are capable of getting out of a lane when using that rule.
On second thought, 1/4 of a car length is probably too close. That would make for an awfully tight turn if you had to make one. 1/3 to 1/2 is better. But as you noted, you have to factor in if you’re preventing someone from making that left turn.
and attacking another car with a metal pipe.
Better not do that in Texas or any other state that supports stand your ground
This is just another example of something like the leaning back of the airplane seat issue. What gives someone a slight bit of comfort gives someone else a major source of discomfort.
“Make sure you can see where the rubber meets the road on the car in front of you”. Beset advice to young drivers.
This maniac menace is going to get a bullet in his forehead one day.
Simple solution —- if the prisons are full then start executions - LIFO. Simple.
