no matter WHAT they tell you, operator error is the cause 95% of the time. prove me wrong.
“no matter WHAT they tell you, operator error is the cause 95% of the time. prove me wrong.”
Em…not in any case of Ukrainian ‘piloting’. It will always be US plane kills pilot
There is a reason why pilots need thousands and thousands of hours on a particular craft to be considered an expert.
When I worked in aerospace, the old rule of thumb was “Pilot lives, airplane’s fault. Pilot dies, pilot’s fault.”
Well, in the case of a war zone when the pilot is actively engaged in a fight, I doubt if that many crashes would be pilot error.
With regards to this particular incident, it is admitted to be pilot error.
I’m not a pilot, but I am a machine operator. To become a good operator a couple hundred hours are needed just to learn the moves, sounds and vibrations. Now take an fighter jet. That must take a thousand hours to learn everything including the feel of how the plane is performing. My point is, this poor guy never had the experience needed to keep it in the air.
Good people, good machinery and lots of US tax dollars going to waste.
May the pilot rest in peace along with every other poor soul, Uke or Rusky.
AND there’s always more than one thing that causes an Aircraft Crash...
