James O'Keefe launches countersuit against Project Veritas, alleges defamation, breach of contract

James O'Keefe of OMG has launched a countersuit against Project Veritas, a company he founded and helmed until February 2023. Project Veritas sued their founder in May of that year, and now, O'Keefe is bringing his own claims against the group. O'Keefe was put on leave, at first for two weeks and then indefintely, which he has said was an attempt to force his resignation, and he later offered that.

In the countersuit obtained by The Post Millennial, O'Keefe accuses the Project Veritas Board of materially breaching the employment agreement when he was stripped of his position, compensation, and ability to do his work, "which proximately and directly damaged" him. O'Keefe offers a counterclaim of defamation, alleging that the "Board members acted negligently, at minimum, in regards to the truth or falsity of their statements."

Tweets from Board members are included in the documentation, showing remarks and assertions they had made publicly about O'Keefe during the course of the dispute and the suit brought by Project Veritas against O'Keefe. These include calling O'Keefe a "sociopathic liar," stating that "everyone who ever worked for/with him feels exactly the same on this point." O'Keefe was called "evil" and accused of "criminality" in these public tweets from Project Veritas Board member Matthew Tyrmand.

Good for O'Keefe. Project Veritas was infiltrated by the left and they deliberately sabotage the company. They then conspired to push O'Keefe out. I suspect the CIA/FBI offered/paid large sums of money to someone there to get ride of O'Keefe.

I’m waiting for an assistant to suddenly take off his disguise at a Project Veritas Board Meeting and it’s James O’Keefe with a camera!

Now that would be funny!

O’Keefe’s new OMG company is doing well on it’s own.

But for his employees to take over a company he had built from the ground up over a dozen years, shows a total lack of morality on their part. As evidenced by how quickly the company dissolved after pushing O’Keefe out, it was nothing without him and his unique abilities.

Any evidence for this? What do we really know about the people who pushed him out? What has PV been doing, or trying to do, without O’Keefe? I ask because conservatives are famous for fighting among themselves.

It’s things like this I suspect that prevent conservatives from having any interest in developing an activist strain. (the kind of activist strain we saw appear in 2009/2010)

O’Keefe is such an important rare gem that he gets up, goes out, and actually does something.

He isn’t just sitting around, and waiting for election day. And afterwards: On November 6th, he will be busy. On December 1st he will be busy. On January 20th, 2025, he will be busy. And after, continuing.

Both before and after the election, much of his work is not necessarily or not actually election related at all.

He simply advances conservatism. We cannot vote our way out of these problems. The only way out is to activist our way out. James O’Keefe is the walking, talking, living proof of it as was Andrew Breitbart in his last decade.

____

PV has been doing nothing since they pushed O’Keefe out. No exposés, no undercover reveals. In fact, I think the company suspended all operations not long afterwards and stated they are basically bankrupt.
