Electric vehicles get 3 to 4 miles per kWh. Electric cost of $155 / MWh quoted in the article means $155 to go 3,000 to 4,000 miles, or 5 cents a mile. With a car getting 30 mpg that equates to $1.55 a gallon.
That's for charging at home, not including retail markup. What you are probably referring to is the marked up price for public chargers. That's currently 15 cents or 20 cents a mile or up to $6 a gallon. With the wholesale price increasing due to expensive that will go up. Will get to $25 eventually.
