The presidential campaign of Dr. Cornel West announced on Monday that it collected enough signatures to qualify for the Virginia state ballot. While the campaign did not specify the exact number collected, it said that it had surpassed the required threshold.
In a press release, the campaign praised its volunteers for their efforts in collecting the signatures, with West’s vice presidential candidate, Dr. Melina Abdullah, calling it “a demonstration of the power of organized people.” Virginia requires independent presidential candidates to gather a minimum of 5,000 valid signatures to qualify for the general election ballot. The deadline to file the signature petitions was this past Friday, August 23.
“Ballot access in Virginia was achieved because enough voters in our communities were willing to sacrifice time, energy, and convenience in hopes of electing a true people’s candidate for the presidency. Volunteers across Virginia coordinated their efforts to make meaningful change out of small, local efforts,” said Lauren Toiaivao, the campaign’s lead state volunteer.
The West campaign states that it has the necessary signatures and political party nominations needed to appear on 18 state ballots, including seven key battleground states.
The optimist in me says “yes”, but there are just too many deep state maggots in Northern VA who will likely keep VA blue for eternity.

Any Democrat who doesn’t vote for Cornell West is a racist.
Let’s hope he siphons off some votes to help Trump.
I signed the petition to get him on the ballot in Arizona. Those oegit voters who want to vote for him, should.
Agree...too many RATs in N VA.
I’d love to see Trump be unpredictable and schedule a debate with him in Michigan.
