Atlanta last had a Republican mayor in the 1870s. Poor Buckhead. It used to be on the outskirts of Atlanta but now the city has grown to the point that it is part of the city itself and the crime has come as well.
No wonder they wanted to form their own government and separate themselves from the city. Unfortunately, Buckhead city secession plan was rejected by the Georgia legislature. Atlanta needs their tax dollars.
Oh, and Mr. Humes needs to spend some time at the range. The article didn't say how many shots was fired; just that he apparently missed.
more range time, less aggravated assaults.
...and I was like damn,” Humes said

LOL
That’s a real response.
Imagine his relief!
That said, is the local DA Soros-supported?
They are after the postal workers for the keys to those super large mail boxes. One key open’s them all.
If this happened in Chicago or New York City, the police would have arrested him.
Postal th3ft, and delivery service theft are on the rise, and coincide with the massive influx of illegals pouring over the border from many different nations. Some very violent criminals are coming across , and thr left welcome them with open arms.
Criminals, whether illegal aliens or not, are also targeting tractor trailers, blocking them in at stop signs on their routes, and robbing them.
Ups was hard hit the last few years too.
Casually known as Buckhood.
It ain’t like it was.
You have to go through metal detectors to enter Lenox Square now.
Buckhead. Atlanta. OK, I get the picture.
Nice to see a good guy with a gun from the community protecting a member of the community from a bad guy with a gun from the community.
We need to see more of this!
Link doesn’t work.
You have to go through a metal detector to get into Lennox Square Mall??? Wow! It certainly wasn’t like that back in the 1980s.

Started as a result of the BLM nonsense a couple of years ago. I wouldn’t go near the place now.
Even if the mall was as nice as it was back in the 1980s, I wouldn’t go there because my car might get vandalized or stolen!
I don’t think the good guy had a gun. He did have a set of cast iron balls though.
Above is the link. Sorry if the original one didn’t work.
Wierd. I read it again and it may just be the reporter is lousy, but while it says there was an ‘exchange of fire’, it never actually said Mr Humes had a gun with him
Same here. I went to the link to get more info, but it was not helpful. Sadly, this is typical of the substandard “reporting” that is presented these days.
But the wealthy still live around there too, hence the crime.
