Assange pled guilty to disclosure of classified documents and is no longer a wanted man. He was originally a wanted man for skipping bail on sexual assault charges, and not anything to do with Wikileaks.
The SCOTUS leak was investigated by SCOTUS and the investigation was closed by SCOTUS with no resolution. I guess nothing has been done about the person who leaked the SCOTUS decision because SCOTUS did not look hard enough to find them. Again, publishing of the SCOTUS leak was not an illegal act, hence no prosecution of reporters for publishing the leak.
I don’t espouse any rules except the rule of law, which you seem to think should be pushed aside when it doesn’t suit your agenda.
And yes I agree baby butchering is wrong. I agree that any murder is wrong, but our justice system holds that a suspect cannot be tried on the basis of illegally obtained evidence, even for murder . I did not make the rules, but am just advising you of the rules since you are not informed of them.
I am amused by your posts—not because of this particular topic but because you are showing signs of extreme naivete.
Many law enforcement agents use illegal methods to obtain evidence—wiretaps are one example.
Then once they know who the perp is they begin to build a case by identifying other evidence. They present the other evidence in court so there is no “illegal evidence”.
The law is a tool like an axe—it can be used to cut down trees to build homes or to chop off someone’s head.
It is the human behind the law that matters a lot more than the technical implementation of the law.
What investigation showed that?
The US did not charge Assange with sexual assault. Please tell me what they DID charge him with, that they want to extradite him here.
Funny how the government doesn’t “look hard enough” to find the people who commit crimes that favor liberals. SCOTUS is not a law enforcement body; why was no law enforcement body tasked with finding the perpatrator?
I don’t believe that laws should be pushed aside; I believe they should be equally applied. Why does Daleiden not qualify as a whistleblower against an entity that receives taxpayer dollars? Please remember also that Kamala’s office sent a SWAT team to Daleiden’s house. Why do you think she did that? And if he was going to be charged with a crime anyway, why did she take his tapes so he couldn’t expose them?
Where was the Access Hollywood tape recorded?
Do you find it abhorrent that Kamala protected people who were planning to literally butcher babies? She had the evidence of it and could have used that evidence to find and prove the transactions in question. Why do you think she didn’t? And how do her actions on this issue affect your opinion of her?
As I said before, I’ve never seen you post something that was NOT an MSM narrative. What is your purpose for being here on Free Republic?
Did Adam Schiff receive his info about Trump’s phone call with Zelensky legally? Do you believe it was legal for him to (inaccurately) expose what was in that phone call before Trump declassified it? There was nothing wrong in that phone call; Trump asked Zelensky to investigate fraud, which is supposedly a condition of our aid to Ukraine. Why should anyone be classified as a “whistleblower” for exposing a confidential phone call in which nothing unlawful was done?
It’s ironic because mishandling classified info is what they tried to frame Trump with - and prosecuted him alone when all the past Presidents - and people like Hillary and Schiff as well- actually HAVE mishandled classified information, including information about our agents in China who were then killed because of Hillary’s in-real-time leaks to China.
Do you have no problem with the hypocrisy? Is it A-OK with you that the laws you talk about are only for SOME people (i.e. conservatives) but not for others? As the quote goes from “Animal Farm”: “Some animals are more equal than others” That’s how the media acts, and you seem to be doing the same thing, all the time.
I am glad that you agree that butchering babies is wrong. Would you agree that tax dollars should not be going to organizations which butcher children?
Again, what investigation?
I got lost in my pings; sorry. It’s been a long day and I’m exhausted.
When will Schiff be charged with disclosing information from classified records and treated the same way that Assange was treated? Assange spent 62 months in prison and is only free now because his sentence is the time he’s already served, for sharing information that rose to the “secret” (not “classified”) level.
When do Adam Schiff and his “whistleblower” spend 5 years in jail? When do Biden, Hillary, Pence, Bill Clinton, and GW Bush spend their time in jail for mishandling classified documents? Trump is about to be sentenced for “filing errors”, based on testimony that SCOTUS has said is not allowable due to Presidential immunity. Hillary never had Presidential immunity and her Clinton Foundation was a big money-laundering scheme that dried up as soon as she was no longer Secretary of State. Do you suppose she “misreported” anything about that money? When does she get charged by the State of New York and be recommended to spend a year in Rikers?
The hypocrisy and the corruption is staggering. Yet I don’t see you saying anything about that, except to parrot the MSM lines about why it is peachy that Trump and pro-lifers are being SWATted, prosecuted, jailed, etc - the same MSM trying to cover up the banana turd-world-republic garbage that is going on in this country. Stuff so bad that even RFK Jr had to leave the democrat party and blast everybody who is supporting this unconscionable mess; kudos to him for that.
Remaining silent while tyranny takes over is the same as supporting tyranny. You may call my posts “rants” but in the face of what’s going on I think rants are justified - and pretty much mandated. Why aren’t you “ranting”?
To be truthful I don’t understand how CA isn’t prosecuting Apple, Google, etc for all the listening in that the phones are doing. When a person shuts off their phone and the phone is wired to still stay on and allow spying by the company that produced the phone, how is that not recording without consent?
How the heck have we gone this long without John Brennan and James Clapper being thrown into jail for “The Hammer”? Why are the people who spied on Trump not being prosecuted?
The innocent are persecuted; the guilty are protected. The same thing holds true for the border. The guilty get huge benefits while those who wait in line like they’re supposed to have to wait forever because we’re too busy catering to the illegals. Up is down; right is wrong.
I’m so sick of this junk. If America votes for this upside-down world she deserves what she gets. It is the American public that is on trial right now; I hope and pray that she sees through the lies and rejects the up-is-down George Orwell world we’re living in.
The hypocrisy is so stunning I can’t stand it.
An investigation commissioned by Planned Parenthood in connection with their successful lawsuit again Daleiden, which he appealed up to the Supreme Court, which declined to hear his case.
You are not reading my posts. I never said the US charged Assange with sexual assault.
He was charged by the US with violating the Espionage Act by releasing unredacted classified documents and the US was trying to extradite him and bring him to trial. He took a plea deal, as I stated earlier.
It is funny how the SCOTUS leak investigation was unsuccessful. Common sense says that a third party should investigate the leak, but SCOTUS did not want an outsider conducting the investigation and their internal investigation proceeded. As we know, SCOTUS has no oversight.
Again, Daleiden’s recording of interactions with Planned Parenthood were an illegal act. The California AG conducted a search of his residence as part of the investigation into his illegal recording of Planned Parenthood interactions. There was no SWAT team sent to his house.
The Access Hollywood tape was made in LA I think. Trump was wearing a microphone, which is consent to being recorded, so no laws broken there!
Assange was imprisoned in the UK while fighting extradition. I don’t know the answers to the Schiff thing. The people you referred to mishandling classified documents will not go to jail because they cooperated and turned over the documents as requested. The Clinton Foundation has definitely not dried up. Hillary Clinton was investigated by Republicans in Congress for almost the entirety of Trumps first term. You should ask them when she gets charged.
I referred to you as ranting because you seemed very disturbed by the release of a recording of the Trump-Zelensky phone call, and the leak never even happened.
So Planned Parenthood hired somebody who then alleged that Daleiden altered the tapes?
Real credible there. How gullible are you?
Assange was charged and sentenced for publishing “secret” documents.
Was the SCOTUS ruling less than “secret” - that the publishers would not be charged for publishing it? Both Assange and the newspapers who reported the SCOTUS leak got their information from sources who disclosed it illegally. And you are STILL not acknowledging the hypocrisy, or “ranting” about it. It almost seems like you’re OK with “One rule for thee, another for me” when the Deep State does it.
No SWAT team? What do you call 11 men with rifles and a canine showing up at your door and ransacking the place for 4 hours? https://www.dailywire.com/news/hurricane-kamala-activist-remembers-harrowing-raid-ordered-by-harris-over-planned-parenthood-videos . See, you make these comments so matter-of-factly but they are deceptive. I suppose you’ll say it wasn’t technically a SWAT team, but arguing about semantics when there’s a much bigger picture being hidden is not good.
At https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/blog/criminal-defense/is-it-illegal-to-record-someone-without-consent-in-california/ it explains the exception which allows an average citizen to record a conversation in which they are a participant, even without the other person’s consent:
>>>>>
“You as a private citizen can get around the law against eavesdropping if you record a conversation in order to gather evidence about certain kinds of crimes. This exception applies if:
you are one of the parties to the conversation that you are recording, and
you are recording the conversation in order to gather evidence that you reasonably believe is related to the other party committing:
extortion,
kidnapping,
bribery, or
any felony involving violence against another person (such as murder or rape)”
>>>>
Daleiden was a participant in the conversations and I would say that planning to literally butcher fully-born children is a “felony involving violence against another person”. So Daleiden’s recording was NOT against the law and was thus able to be used in prosecuting Planned Parenthood.
At https://www.11alive.com/article/news/politics/elections/loeffler-access-hollywood/85-0461b9c5-93a0-427c-b1a0-dc7939348ff1 it says, “The Access Hollywood tape, made in 2005, emerged in October 2016 while Trump was wearing a microphone. A camera rolled out of his eyeshot and recorded”
The recording was not from Trump’s mic which was for the interview he was going to have later with Bush; it was from a camera that Trump did not know was recording. Apparently Bush didn’t know it was recording either, or he wouldn’t have made sexist comments at the same time. According to the above link,
“California criminal law says that a conversation is confidential when it takes place in circumstances that reasonably indicate that at least one party to the conversation intends for no one else to overhear it. “
It sounds to me like BOTH parties in the conversation intended for no one else to overhear it.
IOW, the recording was made illegally, since neither party to the conversation was aware that taping was in progress.
So from that link, it seems that Daleiden’s recording was lawful; Access Hollywood’s was not. And yet Kamala’s office treated Daleiden like a felon and refused to use the tapes to prosecute Planned Parenthood as the law allows. And New York judges allowed the illegally-recorded “Access Hollywood” tape to be used in the E Jean Carrol court case.
Does it bother you that the laws were applied BACKWARDS, and in both cases to benefit the leftist government cabal?
LOL. There was also the investigation by California AG which was already mentioned. But even without manipulation they misrepresented images in videos, such as showing a stillborn baby but alleging it was an aborted fetus.
By the way, Planned Parenthood was investigated by twelve states, the House Oversight Committee and others as a result of the allegations made by Daleiden. No evidence of any wrongdoing by Planned Parenthood was found during any of these investigations, but they did result in criminal charges against Daleiden in two states.
Trump cooperated fully. Hillary did not.
Congress can’t charge anybody; the DOJ has to do it, and the DOJ under Trump was only interested in framing him. And Garland’s DOJ is even worse. Which is my point. It’s all a corrupt politicization of law enforcement. Which you don’t seem to mind. When I DO mind, you say I’m ranting. Well, thank you. Ranting is the correct moral response to the politicization of law enforcement.
The leak of Trump’s phone call to Zelensky happened by Schiff. His inaccurate, libelous leak forced Trump to release the transcript of what was a secret conversation (non-public, and definitely involving national security issues). But Schiff was not prosecuted either for leaking national security information, nor for libel. His “whistleblower” who exposed nothing unlawful but everything political, was not even allowed to be named in the impeachment trial. Talk about not being allowed to face your accuser!
And the whole thing about him needing to be anonymous because Trump would retaliate - we all know that Trump did not retaliate but those accusing him of wanting to retaliate have been doing so against real whistleblowers (those who expose CRIMES within government) ALL THE TIME.
I’m allergic to lies. Yes, sometimes people are mistaken. When that happens they correct themselves and apologize and I’m fine. But what is happening here is a whole lot of lies and deceptions, and a society that acts like those of us who object are the bad ones. I’m sick of it.
I don’t like the greatest country in the history of the world being turned into a bowl of putrid leftist corrupt tyrannical slime. Those who are fine with it turn my stomach.
Congress has just now gotten the Daleiden tapes. You think they concluded an investigation in a matter of weeks?
Or are you referring to a democrat-led “investigation” such as the J6 investigation in which exculpatory evidence was left out AND THEN ILLEGALLY DESTROYED, and known lies were presented as if true?
If so, you shouldn’t be surprised if I don’t put a whole lot of credibility on such “investigations”.
And would that CA AG be the same one that charged Daleiden with crimes even though I just gave you the summary of the CA recording law showing that Daleiden committed no crimes?
Nobody can be as naive as you are pretending to be. You’re feeding us bullcrap and acting as if we’re the ones who just farted.
And I say “we” because the people on this conservative site know bullcrap when we hear it. You, on the other hand, seem to be allergic to the truth and love, love, love you some bullcrap that the media and corrupt Deep State constantly spew.
How would anybody prove whether it was a stillborn baby or a live-birth abortion victim? You don’t think the medical records of Planned Parenthood are going to say, “We delivered the baby alive and then butchered it”, do you?
Again, how gullible are you?
Nobody needs photos when you’ve got the perpetrators admitting out loud what they do to get fresh, lucrative body parts from the babies they abort.
I wonder how many copies Kamala’s office allowed Daleiden to keep, to prove whether any manipulation was done by Daleiden as opposed to Kamala’s own office. Do you know? How many copies of the original footage did Kamala’s office allow Daleiden to keep as a check against prosecutorial misconduct like the misconduct Kamala’s office perpetrated against at least 3 innocent Black men (and that’s just the ones we know of)?
