Ukraine Commanders Blame Poorly-Trained New Recruits for Eastern Front Failures
Breitbart ^ | 08/22/2024 | BREITBART LONDON

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – Some new Ukrainian soldiers refuse to fire at the enemy. Others, according to commanders and fellow fighters, struggle to assemble weapons or to coordinate basic combat movements. A few have even walked away from their posts, abandoning the battlefield altogether.

While Ukraine presses on with its incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, its troops are still losing precious ground along the country’s eastern front – a grim erosion that military commanders blame in part on poorly trained recruits drawn from a recent mobilization drive, as well as Russia’s clear superiority in ammunition and air power.

This war is breaking my heart, it is imo literally just a meat grinder for political sport, a real horror.

The democrats and elite , again imo, are enjoying this as entertainment.

Just reading the excerpt of article it sounds like a plea to send well-trained troops and better ammo and air power to Ukraine. That’s all they need!

This war -
Old men who know each other, hate each other, and can’t agree, send young men who don’t know each other, don’t hate each other, to kill each other.

Welcome to Ukraine.

This is one of those things that, if true, it would be better not to mention them.

They're not recruits - they're conscripts.

Zelensky sure likes sending white Christian men to their deaths.

They aren’t recruits that word is for someone you convinced to decide to serve. These are draftees, war slaves, often kidnapped off the street.

Yes. And no matter what the root causes, we have no business being involved.

None. Every red cent we waste sending to Ukraine is being borrowed. Military equipment we are sending from our own stores will probably never be replaced, or if it is, will take years.

And worst of all, that money we BORROW to send to Ukraine, is being funneled back into the personal pockets of our OWN “elected” officials.

Which means, we are borrowing money we don’t have, putting that burden on our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to pay back, and putting that borrowed money into the pockets of people who despise this country and want it destroyed.

And we have douchebags on this very forum who jump into every thread (they will no doubt end up in here when they get their fat asses out of bed) to vilify anyone who objects to this economic rape of our progeny as being a “Putinista”.

And on the other side, anyone who objects to the Russian invasion is branded a supporter of the “Globohomo Regime”.

The dialogue is idiotic.

And as you said, the Democrats and elite (Deep State) are “enjoying this as entertainment”.

Vile scum.

Democrats, Assistant Democrats (Republicans/Deep State) Russia, Ukraine, the Euroweenies, all of them. They all suck.

And in the end, it is the schlubs on the muddy, frozen ground, both in Ukraine and in Russia, who pay the price with their lives for this “entertainment”.

And we, as Americans, foot the bill and make it possible so our leaders (and the Ukrainians) can line their pockets.

It is obscene.

“They’re not recruits - they’re conscripts.”

The majority of Americans who fought in WWII were conscripts.

The US would have been defeated if it had to rely entirely on volunteers.

Bund? You're actually going to use that term? Ukraine has actual Nazi battalions in their military.

So... Ukraine is the Christian Standard Bearers? How does that work? Ukraine just voted to ban the Orthodox Church, and Zelensky, whose term expired in May 2024, would put his illegitimate signature on the bill.

Ukraine is conscripting individuals off the streets while our korrupt government sends the korrupt government in Ukraine billions of money we borrowed from China that will be paid back by our great grandchildren.

Any Zeeper who wants to support their Nazi brethren in motherland Ukraine can go to Ukraine and take the place of one of the conscripts.

Defeated? You don't know that at all. The U.S. might not have been in the war if it had to "rely" on volunteers...or...the U.S. might have won just the same with volunteers.

You don't know.

About 61% of our WWII military were conscripts, all branches used draftees, even the Coast Guard, and about 93% of that WWII Army were conscripts.

“Why should it not be mentioned?”

The government complaining the soldiers are undertrained and ineffective are the ones tasked with training and molding effective soldiers. When they call out the failure in training and effectiveness it highlights that they, the government, have failed in their job. Therefore, the thing for them to do is not comment on their own failures and redouble their efforts to train and mold effective soldiers.

As if the war in Ukraine compares to WW2?

I would argue that it will be replaced, at great cost and to the benefit of the military industrial complex. That might be the sole purpose of this meat grinder. Drain our military stores to spark a huge increase in defense spending. We all know who benefits.

I was posting information to you for post 7, WWII was a war of conscripts for all nations, Russia’s current war is a war of conscripts, conscription is routine in militaries.
