You are wrong. They can and have shut down gasoline stations before. Katrina, Harvey ,Andrew to name a few times. The gov can also just order the dozen or so refineries to not ship fuel outside the plant gate expect for government convoys to government fuel depots under government troop transport. The big companies would comply or face nationalization they absolutely would comply and only left the government have fuel. If you think thstwould defy fedzilla for the consumer you are delusional.
