Apparently, applying the eligibility requirements to make normal people meet the same standards in sexual behavior as high-risk homosexuals probably actually DISQUALIFIED some low-risk heterosexuals who used to be regular donors.

Can you please elaborate on this? How would this disqualify less risky people?

You haven't noticed that we are in a 'right is wrong, wrong is right' age yet? It's not just Orwell, but also biblical.

The FDA now applies the same risk standards of homosexuals to normal people.

The questionnaire asks the donor if he has had a new or multiple sexual partners in the past three months. If the answer is yes, then the follow-up is whether they had anal intercourse in the past three months.

This could apply to a newlywed man-woman couple, who got married 2 months ago (new sexual partner) and who may have engaged in anal sex or had another partner just prior to the wedding.

It makes sex risky BY DEFINITION, when heterosexual intercourse is far, FAR lower risk for HIV infection than for homosexuals. even if it's anal sex.
