The Democratic National Convention is pulling out all the big stops this year with a stacked line-up of speakers.
President Joe Biden will make remarks on Monday followed by a speech from Hillary Clinton. On Tuesday former President Barack Obama is headline and fellow former Democratic President Bill Clinton on Wednesday.
But another speaker was just revealed to be in the line-up – and some Democrats wanted to see this person replace Biden on the 2024 ticket instead of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Michelle Obama will speak Tuesday before her husband's remarks, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
The former first lady is highly popular among Democrats and in surveys taken before Harris became the nominee, Michelle was the only potential replacement for Biden that was beating Donald Trump in the polls last month.
In 2016, the outgoing first lady spoke at the Convention as her husband was leaving office and delivered the now-famous line: 'When they go low, we go high.'
While Democrats were scrambling last month to find a potential replacement for Biden after his embarrassing debate performance against Trump, Michelle emerged as the only challengers that could beat the former president.
While she has never held any elected position, Michelle has promising polling figures, a rare popularity among voters and ability to draw from her husband's political connections.
A post-debate poll by Ipsos last month showed Harris losing to Trump by 1 percent, but Michelle was ahead of him by commanding 11 percent.

Journalists from liberal news outlets appear to have been left stunned after voters showed a preference for Donald Trump over Kamala Harris in a series of on-the-street interviews.
One clip going viral on X shows broadcaster Don Lemon interviewing strangers in Atlantic City, NJ, and finding many agreed they felt more financially stable under Trump’s presidency.
And in one toe-curling exchange, a voter laughs in Lemon’s face after the journalist tried to argue with his personal experience. In another instance he sensationally asks a male interviewee if his resistance to Harris is because ‘she is a woman.’
A second clip from left-leaning ABC News shows a woman saying that she was considering voting for Trump because Harris ‘has just been kind of caught up in a lot of lies.’
It comes after it emerged the Democratic presidential candidate’s ‘honeymoon’ period with the liberal media appeared to come to a crashing end after her ‘communist’ plan to control food prices prompted outrage. Critics have previously suggested Harris has benefitted from ‘propaganda’ among left-leaning titles while enjoying strong polling numbers since taking over from Joe Biden.
Most notably, she was pictured on the cover of Time magazine despite giving no media interviews in the first three weeks of her presidential run.
But the latest clips appear to show the media adulation is failing to have an impact on ordinary voters despite a slew of polls seeming to show Harris is leading over her opponent.
The clip of Lemon, which has 2.1 million views, begins with him asking a stranger on the street: ‘Who do you support?’
The man replies: ‘Trump for the win.’
When Lemon probes him further, he continues: ‘I can’t really call that right now. But I just feel like [Harris] isn’t good for President...

The fawning media will be all over all of the events at the convention. Michelle Obama will get her share of the lap dog media praise.
I wonder if MSNBC is going to be there in person. Serious question.
For the Republican convention MSNBC had their people sitting in front of a blank wall in New York, and they showed the video from the Republican convention on a blank wall behind their people., clearly they wanted to create the impression that they were actually at the Republican convention even though they stayed behind at their headquarters in New York.
I suspect that for the Democrats that Rachel Maddow and the Gang will decide this is newsworthy enough to be there in person. The powers that be at MSNBC will pay all of their travel expenses to go to this event.
