“They were supposed to be security at a rock concert.”

Since their job was to keep the bands safe did they keep the bands safe?

This is exactly the dedication at any cost I speak of. And why they would actually be very good dedicated security. Once they are committed they are seriously committed without compromise.

A dedicated soldier would do no less.

The question is, did the multiple brawls they engaged in have anything to do with keeping the bands safe?

The objective of safeguarding the president is to primarily keep him safe, but after that to also keep the attendees of the rally safe.

Dedicated soldiers have an objective to aggressively pursue, take a hill, knock out an enemy position, advance.

Dedicated executive security personnel, means primarily keep the Candidate safe, and after that to safeguard those who have come to attend the rally, and after that to safeguard each other, in that order.

No they didn't, but tried in a chaotic way. A number of bands just gave up like the Jefferson Airplane and walked off. Mick Jagger spend much of his time on stage trying to cool things down as the HA's were fighting with the crowd below if someone knock over a bike, or someone jumped on stage.

It was a mess and the end of the Woodstock free arena festivals. I knew long before not to hang with 1%.s.

Interesting thing, the HA's and other earlier bike clubs originated from WWII with hill-climbing competition. Anyone here know of the early hill-climbing competition in Holister? I attended the 50th anniversary of the so-called Holister Riot. Who was the now dead leader of that so-called riot? Also, what was the name of the first organized biker club?
