Not surprised. They were already in a Middle States accreditation self-study review (normal process) and when the violence and harassment on their campus occurred, Middle States got directly involved at that point. Three of Columbia’s Deans were suspended and ultimately terminated from their positions (unknown if some/all will go back to tenured faculty positions). The President was on borrowed time.
I expect the same thing will be happening to the UCLA President now that they have a Federal preliminary injunction regarding exclusion of Jewish and pro-Israel students from parts of the campus.
Jewish donors and pro-Israel Gentile donors started voting with their dollars.
Accreditation is voluntary but it is required in order for students to gain access to federal funds including student grants and loans.
And deservedly so.
She was terrible. Good riddance. I have no idea how much the Qataris paid to keep her.
Anyone else notice that just about every college president resigning or being fired are women?
Don’t get me wrong; I think there are many qualified, but how many much more qualified men have been passed over because of DEI policies?
