It’s pretty hard to “fake” a reduction in crime when the bullets are constantly flying in your neighborhood. If crime is going down, why are all the businesses closing down in the cities and fleeing? If police are not around because they too have fled, to whom would you report new crimes to update crime numbers?
When the Soros D.A.s refuse to prosecute crimes, when the leftist Police Chiefs refuse to report the crimes to the feds, who refuse to put even the ones that they know about into the statistics they report, of course ‘crime goes down’..... For everyone but the people who actually experience the multitudinous crimes.
Who would have thought that criminals and the mentally ill would do dishonest things?

I am not a statistician but I have a feeling such a statement is meaningless.
What is the murder rate of Tennessee overall if we would pull out the murder rate in Memphis , for example?
What is the murder rate of Illinois overall if we pull out Chicago’s numbers?
It’s hard to make much sense of a Statewide average when there are such big individual variances within a state.

They are simply not reporting anything. No kidding.
Many areas don’t report crime numbers to FIB, so they just create numbers and publish as if they are facts.
Don’t believe your lying eyes, everything is fine. Crime down, inflation down, homeless down…. But if trump(love how if you type trump there is not an option given to capitalize) wins all these issues will suddenly arise
Been happening for a long time.. the game is at the precint level to make crime statistics and reporting of crime to the feds a game.... need money.. up they go... need to “help” a politician... down they go.
Does anyone wonder why “car theft”, strong arm robbery and burglary is now met with a shrug of a shoulder and a “tsk-tsk”? Think about it.

Crime all over metro Atlanta is off the charts. We just had someone try to break into our garage two nights ago. They managed to get one side off the frame but there wasn’t enough room for them to squeeze through.
In a lot of these Democrat controlled cities they are not even reporting a lot of the crimes.
